how can you get dreads when you are washing your hair 2 to 3 times a week with shampoo, even if it is dr. bronners. I know you can get it, but it seems weird to me because even when you wash your hair with dr. bronners doesn't it still make it soft?
Apparently the shampoo removes oils and dirt that would prevent the hair from locking up. I don't use shampoo though so Idk
Personally, I use Dove. It takes away the dirt and grease in my hair and heals my scalp better than shampoo can, and it's cheaper, too!
softeness isnt so bad but at 1st id use sea salt or somrething to dryy it lil bit and reduce oiliness soft hair dreads nicely though think about a baby that dreaded from birth..baby hairs as soft as u can get..they use baby shamppooos too that are exfremely gentle and leave the hair very soft but theyre hair will dread as soon as its long enough to.. same with animals a dogs fur is usualy very soft but will dread easily if its long enough all u need to dread is not comb
if you wash it without messing with it (running your fingers through it) itll tangle up good n proper.. dreads
