Alright, so I'm going to the beach in about a week.

Just wondering what's the best to do:

After being in the ocean, rinse my hair with water?

Or just leave it for a few days?

    Or any other suggestions?

    cheers

i'd rinse it out afterwords, cuz the sand always gets stuck under my dreads if i dont. but it's no big deal if you leave it, either.

yeah just rinse it out and wash it. salt water and sand will irritate you if you don't. no sense in leaving it in if you have the option not to :)

which beach are you going to?

    Wollongong NSW australia,

I'm not taking my shampoo though, so will a good rinse be enough?

I've heard that having salt water in your hair and letting the sun dry them is really great for dreads, but I can't vouch for that personally.

im going to the beach this weekend for my 21st birthday!

at least...i think i am...all my mom would tell me was that i need to be at her house by noon at the latest on saturday, i need to bring an overnight bag, and i need to include sandals and a swimsuit...hmmm

edit: to actually address the OP...i dont know personally, but everything i've read round these parts say that the ocean rocks for dreads
