The only problem with that is that if someone cannot produce a resource, how are they supposed to get the resources they need?
Yeah, it's all based on the fact that all the resources on the Earth are like a common inheritance, and don't belong to any one person, so everybody is provided with everything that they need. It's interesting, it's getting alot of attention and stuff. I think there are some pretty big holes in the concept of it, but overall it seems pretty cool. Do you think it could work?
Ok, but say you've got George West over here that needs food; now, he doesn't have the resources or knowledge to produce food on his own, but he's a damn good plumber; over here you have the farmers in the community, but none of them need plumbing work done; how is George West supposed to obtain food for his family?
I don't think it's based on that kind of give/recieve basis, I think it's meant to be based on that if you have a need, it will be provided for, because with the advances in technology that are available/will be available in the near future, we have enough resources to provide for everybody on the planet as and when they need it. Of course this is based on the assumption that noone will be greedy and ask for more than they require, because it is assumed that greed is caused by money and without a monetary system, there will be no greed. So George West would be able to get his food regardless of whether he wanted to do any plumbing. But then he could offer his services to the whole community if he wanted to. It's a bit complicated! Lol!
yess this is very interesting. sounds utopia like. its not that i have no faith in humanity, i do, i just can't ever see enough people actually wanting to switch out of a monetary system for it to ever happen. I dont know about anyone else....but im not waiting for the system to change....im dropping out as soon as i can, no longer to be poisoned, and finding a utopian world outside of the city walls. =)
it really wouldnt be hard, its not like what you describe about trading services, thats a communist concept, this is different, this is destroying the monetary system..all money does is divide people, think about it, rich people dont hang with poor people, they look down on me because i dont depend on a peice of paper...our technology has become so advanced what we would do is mass produce shit and it would be given to everyone, everyone would be equal wed be using technology to our advantage so that everyone in the world would be provided with food and all neccesities, it would be beautiful..but it would really take a natural disaster or something major to open up everyones mind, the only thing that has stopped someone in their tracks and flipped em backwards to a whole new way of life is psychedelics and tragedy..our government and scientist need to open their minds and stop thinking about there fat rich selves, and realize theres something a whole fuckin lot bigger than their wallet in this world. REvolt and help some mother fuckin starving, sick people, dying people, injured people, deprived people, homeless people out there. wake up man
