    I need to do this huge essay on some american the thing is it has to be really good up there with hawthorne; bradbury;thoreau can anyone reccomend soemone??????

    If you're not a regular reader, I would suggest Dr.Seuss. His older stories have alot of meaning and morals behind them, which would really impress your teacher. If you are a reader, Kurt Vonnegut. I mean, come on, it's fucking KV man. Oh, welcome to 11th grade english, btw.

    if you want someone who is a giant in their genre..asimov is the best example...

    of course, many engilsh teachers look down on sci fi/fantasy as garbage literature.
