It's on TNT tonight and as I watch movies or read books I like to think of the symbolism in them.

I was wondering what you guys think the roses symbolize?

I think it means lust, love, death, every time he fantasies about the girl the roses come out, cause he is in love with the idea of having sex with her lusting over her. In love with her

ricky with the camcorder seems symbolic to me. his attention was outward, viewing everything around him as beautiful. To me it indicates loss of ego and what is left in the place of self-consciousness is unspeakable beauty and total honesty and contentment. It was contagious to the other characters.

Otherwise I think the movie sortof speaks for itself. Anyo one of us, at any time, can flip on the switch in the back of our mind that "turns us on." very powerful and relevant movie, damnit now I want to watch it
