How many and how long???

I've got about 64 dreads, and they're about 2 feet long on average.

We have almost the same number

We have so much in common :O

i had 36 at last count but ive gained one or two little naturals and two more are congoing, so it changes.
they are about down to my shoulder blades.

 

it took a long time for this thread to pick up i posted this a few months ago

 

34 and they are well above my shoulders and going to shrink more. The underneath at the back is not dreaded so will increase once that hair is a bit longer. I think six dreads fell out at the back.

 

oh my!!! Why, or what made them fall out....why thats not natural for the whole dread to fall out.,.Where they fake like some weave dread, or was your hair falling out in clumps of three or more dreads..

 

backcombed dreads fall out before they lock up..

 

Yup, my dreads were backcombed and the back ones were quite short. Also, when they were backcombed, the person doing them was standing behind me and did them on a funny kind of angle which didn't really dread it all that much near the base so they simply slid out. I am not concerned about it... I will wait another few months and decide what I want to do with it... either I will twist and rip or let it dread naturally. We'll see.

But the dreads are starting to shrink a bit so the underneath is starting to become quitey noticeable now. lol

 

Ok, I have 30 and they are touching my shoulders.

 

72, or atleast there were when i counted, so i should hope they're all still there =] from maybe 5 inches (the ones that grow from like my fringe) to i'm guessing 15 inches

 

i think i have around 52, and they are a few inches past my shoulders.

Hey MastaOfPasta. Being Israel a country well grasped to their traditions, what's the perception of your culture about dreadlocks? How in your country is seen this of having dreads? And how you decided to have dreads, knowing you would face the tradition? How has been, in some way, going against the custom?
