I'm not sure if this album is classified as ambient, as most of the tracks are more weird late 80s early 90s prog rock (which I am not fond of). However, there are about a few tracks tracks that are pretty ambient, as well as a little trippy, in a way thats hard to explain... anyway for a very long time I have loved listening to this sitting outside at night, while stoned off my ass. Its one of those albums that you listen to a few tracks and don't like it, and then listen to it year later and find the good tracks. But don't take my word for it!:sifone:
what god wants? March.. 3 wishes.. Blues.. bravery out of range.. Progressive.. ect .. Not really ambient, but I guess you could see it that way too. its a theme album, basically rogers old tricks of tying the mind to the Television Sets the same way he does in the Wall.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHUkIDKujXY Amused the death has the tribal drumming your hearing..
Someone else posted a thread about this album tonight. Definitely a good album, but I'm a huge Floyd fan. Bravery of Being out of Range is one of my favorites by Waters. I think his best solo work was Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking. That album never gets old.
Live KAOS is good, the album is a little 80's and poppy, clean studio sound though.. But a live "Powers That Be" "Who needs information".. just makes the album look lame.. pros and cons, is one of my favs too. But also live "Every Strangers Eyes" is very moving..
