Do humans even deserve compassion or salvation? Looking at human nature, we people suck. We are greedy and destructive parasites. Willing to cut a friend's throat for power. Willing to rob what little possessions a elderly man may have in his small apartment. Our inherent drive to destroy each other.

Why waste energy on being compassionate to others, when for all we know, they are no different from other parasites.

With the current state of humanity, how are we deserving of love?

Is this all wasted energy? Why bother?

We were not all born into this world at the same time. Each person has their own path to walk according to their abilites. Most have little ability to walk without stumbling.

You must allow for this. You must also understand the same applies to you. It isn't until you learn how to feel what other people feel, that either of you will find happiness in life. Not just feel what they feel, but the why behind it.

I suggest you find some work helping those who need your help. Maybe an elderly person nearby? Do some yard work. Go to the store for them.

They'll show you how important compassion truly is.

It is the single most valuble quality you have as a human being.

Love begets love, and hate begets hate. Be a part of the solution, and not the problem.

People who can't love can't because they've been too hurt. It's our job to help our brothers get back on the right path. Love is freedom, health, happiness, truth, joy. That is the direction our souls gravitate towards.

If we don't have compassion, can we even be called human? Not fully human I'd say.

The compassion that a mother gives a baby is the perfect example of how life should be. Without that babies would die, children would have no opportunity, and mankind would of ended a long time ago.

why waste energy being greedy destructive parasites it cant be any easier than leading a compassionate life. just because the world seems overwelmed with negativity doesnt mean you have to allow it to overcome you. just as killing someone impacts us all so does saving a life

Sometimes a kick in the ass can be more compassionate than a hug.

Compassion is not something one earns. The greatest compassion is often that which is given freely to those who don't "deserve" it.

You have to find a way to appreciate, respect and love humanity. It is YOUR humanity, your species. You are one expression of humanity. To deny your identity with humanity is to deny you are human, just like those you love the most AND those who don't "deserve" your compassion.

    Absolutely.

True compassion sees behind the surface of things.

Yeah, which is one reason (but, of course, not the only reason) why Zen Buddhism and, well, all of the mystic traditions place such hig value on Compassion.

And is the very reason I chase after zionism so.

Zionism lacks compassion. It creates a vacuum where human decency is concerned.

Those who adhere to it should fear me.
