okay, here's the story. (i would really appreciate some feedback) i was working the closing shift at this restaurant that i work at, and my buddy had split an (OC, not generic) 80 with me earlier in my shift ("split" meaning i bought half, not "split" as in we both took half at the same time). when i got it from him, it was wrapped in a small amount of receipt paper and the light greyish-green coating was a little gunky and scratched looking, almost like it had gotten a little wet or had been handled a lot maybe? i have no idea why it was like that. (i still have half of it so maybe i can take a picture and show you guys) anyways, i had this 40 in my pocket the entire shift, but when i started doing my closing stuff, i decided to take half of it to make things more fun. 20 is my usual dose, so this wasn't an unusual amount. i cut in half with a clean steak knife (i work at a restaurant) and ate half of it in the stall of the bathroom. i then walked out of the stall and proceeded to clean the mirror of the bathroom, when this guy came in the bathroom and started talking to me about my job and how he's seen me at school. while talking to him i felt strangely high. like the onset of weed, but not quite. it was really bizarre. but initially, i thought nothing of it really. we talked for a few minutes, and when i walked out of the bathroom, i thought to myself "this is kind of weird..." and then i started to think about how the oxy was kind of sketchy looking and stuff, and then that made me freak out. not only that, but the strange high feeling was hitting me harder and harder. it never got to the point where i had no idea what was going on, but it was like there was a disconnect between the real me and what i was seeing and doing. i eventually decided to just calm the fuck down and enjoy it, even though it wasn't all that enjoyable. i was able to calm down and just remain on the edge of paranoid-confused about why this was happening to me. after about an hour and a half later, i felt the unmistakable oxy high finally wash over me at full force. (or at least as full as it can get at 20 mg). i called my supplier in the middle of that panic attack asking him if there was anything weird about the oxy, and he told me that it was legit, and he had already taken some himself. i still am pretty uneasy about the whole experience since nothing like this has ever happened to me (with opiates anyway) anyways, i would really like to hear what you guys think of this. thanks.
haha yea that can happen sometimes, Once on a low dose of oxy I had a full blown panic attack, dont know what brings it on but as I got used to the drug more it never happened again
psychosomatic means it was in your head. when that guy started talking to you, you probably got nervous about being caught using a drug on the job and your adrenaline kicked in made you panic. i've done reasonable amounts of opiates as well as other drugs (dxm mostly) and i am able to act fine by myself but once im around someone who i dont want to know i do drugs, i get nervous and cant control it and end up making it more obvious that somethings not right with me.
i'm with the hillbilly hippy on this one.But you said strange high and funny looking so it could of being a counterfit(sp) sometimes they put some fentynol(sp) in to make them seem legit.I know that's a reach but you never know.My friend got a few fakes thy didn't have the flat edges like on legit ones and ssaid they were sugary tasting.he got her back he took his work truck got up to about 40 and crammed her car she lives right off the road it knocked her ride all the way over a bank that was about 30ft from where she originally parked.she wasn't in it thank God.
it was psychosomatic....you just got panicky and it escalated, i bet if you did one of those pills right now sitting at home...you'd be fine.... it was all in your head dude

I'm glad things went fine again, Talby Panic attacks are frightening, but once you're aware of the irrational fear that sent you into one they can be easier to avoid. Just do your opies in the comfort of your home, or anywhere that has a stress rating of 0.
that shit happens to me every time i smoke weed now. sometimes even when i'm not doing anything drug-related. i'm prescribed lorazepam for panic attacks, so that helps most of the time, but over the years i've gotten quite good at calming myself down when i don't have anything in the world to help. this NEVER happens on opiates, tho. not to me anyways. i always feel waaaay too goddamned good to worry about anything
I'm thinking the OP was worried that the pill looked weird because of it being scracthed up and a little wet. So his subconscious kicked in and made him think he had taken something else. I'm pretty sure if he had taken the pill and thought nothing of it, he would have had a good high. But the fact that he was worried because the pill looked funny (no different markings, just a little scratched and wet) got to his head. If he did get fentynol, I would still consider that good. I might be wrong but isnt fentynol just as strong as oxy or not? I've never done fent so im not sure but from what i heard from my one friend who has done fent, he said it was incredibly strong and he does all kinds of pills.
yeah i'm actually 99% sure it is real oxy. i'm pretty sure you're right, all the different thoughts of whether or not the stuff is sketchy and the fact that i was at work etc. all probably contributed to that panic attack. definitely.
Yeah, this sounds like plain paranoia from taking it in a different setting, then questioning exactly what it was and having someone approach you and bug during the onset. Another thing, oxycodone is derived from thebaine, as we all know, and it has stimulant properties. So, that could account for some of the agitation. I've had times where I've taken 20mg or so of oxy at home and then started getting paranoid of every little noise and just feeling freaked out in general.
In terms of effect, you mean? I think fentanyl might be equal to oxy in that respect. But I wouldn't trust someone to cut pills with fentanyl, because its measured in mu That might be hard for a street dealer to measure.
all in your head dude, ud be surprised how powerful the mind is. although its kinda weird to panic on oxy...thats usually more common with drugs that f*ck with your head... like shrooms, weed, acid.
weed, indeed. as i just said, lol. shrooms and acid are definite suspects for a potential freakout as well, although i always had a mind-expanding mindset ready to go when using these substances, so i never had probs. weed on the other hand, used to catch me by surprise. i would come home and just want to smoke a nice bowl and relax and instead, the shit throws me into a full-blown panic attack and i feel like i'm not real. people really underestimate the psychoactive powers of marijuana, including myself, who should fucking know better after smoking the shit for 10+ years of my life., hahaha.
