as soon as i got my dreads(i was the 1st in my area to get them) almost all of my friends wanted them now!!lol so i decided to do 1 of my friends dreads yesterday n they look amazing!! i made them with the crochet method! no wax or anything jus a lil backcomb to frizz it n crocheting it to tighten and make em round n i even did the whole blunt tip thing.. shes very proud of the job i did... ill tryn get a good pic of them later..

since i had my last set i was lucky enough to come across 2 girls who wanted dreads. i had so much fun makin em too. i did the backcomb method for both of em. lol i jus gave this girl one dread for her to see if she really wants em, but shes got the perfect hair for it. shes part egyptian so her hair is really textured and i used the twist and rip and that one dread came out perfect. lmao i got another girl comin down to my moms shop at some point soon to have me do hers too. im gonna try the crochet method with it. whitemarley how hard was the crochet method to do? and def some pics plz!
well sry guys but the girl took them out as soon as she got home!!! IM SO PISSED OFF!!!! they were perfect!~! her excuse was her head hurt.. its not hard at all... backcomb jus a lil bit though start poking the needle threw twisting 90 degrees every so often but dont keep twisting in the same direction... kinda go back n forth... wish i could have got some pics but the dumbass took em out... i worked on them for over 8 hours!
that same thing has happened to me. 5 hours and a head of awesome, tight, fab looking dreads and they lasted a couple of weeks
yea one of those two girls i did took em out wen i left to go to montana. she "missed her hair" lol i was some mad!
So when you dread someone else you feel kind of a connection to em (the dreads) eh? Damn I wanna knot someone!!!!!
id say so yeah. i made my best guy friends locks two years ago and theyre my babies... i do all his maintenance and such too. a while back, he let some chick "maintain" them... she flipped all his roots and made an awful mess. i was so pissed... lol dread jealousy.
haha yea i told the last girl i gave em too that they were mine as well as hers. i did all the maintenance on em and her friend jus got his and liked how hers were doin and so i did some work on his too. i love workin on locks idk y its jus so much fun.
i know, it totally is! i dont do maintenance on my locks and i like the maintenance free/natural look the best... but its still awesome working on peoples dreads for some reason.
I have dreaded 6 heads now, and 2 of them combed out their dreads within days of backcombing. Soooo frustrating eh?
lmao thats wat i said wen i had my last set. this time im jus lettn em have fun. but i didnt trust any one enough to do maintenance on em the last time lol.
