If you google image search that, do "bird of paradise -flower" 'cause all I got at first was loads of flowers, lol!

 

they are definitely both different styles of phoenix. phoenices (lol) are beautiful, i hate how some of the best tattoo ideas are SO overdone. one reason i only have one tattoo.. i am starting to think about my next one, though.

There are so many different designs of phoenixes I don't thik you can pin it down to one, igues syou can just make your own I'm thinking about getting a blue/red phoenix on my back with green flames And I'm going to make my own ashes pot (ceramics ftw) as a big phoenix with her wings stretched out Ohh I love phoenixes.... Fave fantasy creature next to mermaid

 

Birds of paradise was my thought as well. There are so many different kinds, I'm sure you'll find one to suit your purpose.

 

Thanks for all the responses here everyone...I really thought this thread was just gonna crash and burn and I'd be none the wiser. You've all really helped. Now I just need to go get mega-fat so I can have more room for the the gazillion tats I want

 

we was talking today at col about tats, and all the guys were like 'i dont like loooads on a woman..' and i was just sat there like 'i want a sleeve...' =D

 

I think tattoos are a bit like dreads in a way... there's really no point caring what other people think about them. People who hate dreads are gonna think you look like an idiot and people who hate tats are gonna think you look like...whatever it is tattoo-haters think tattooed people look like...lol At the same time, those who like them will think you look awesome

i dunno man, i love tats and dreads but i don't necessarily think all of either look good

 

In "Spanishland" we call this bird "faisán" The most beautiful and colored one is the golden faisán. In the tattoo culture is the most confused with the phoenix and the paradise ones. Here I post some of the pics about them. Enjoy!
