Do many people listen to drum n bass. At the mo I'm listening to a dj hype set and it's abslutely fucking filthy drum n bass, can't beat it!! If anyone has never really heard any dnb before and wants to let me know and I'll throw up links to some sets. Also anyone with Soulseek try get your hands on a tune called Timeless by Goldie. It's not your usual fucked up club stuff it's far more chilled, it's a 21 minute long masterpiece.
*woo-hoo!* <-- another dnb-worshipper here...!! i´m going to see dj hype play live where i live (vienna/austria) quite soon (although it wouldn´t be my first time...seen him before in london ) and i DO love some of that "UNusual !filthy! fucked up club stuff" :H - some of my current favourites include dj friction, concord dawn, john b (that guy´s a fucking genius if you ask me..), black sun empire, panacea...
yay for d-n-b heres some in my vinyl collection: dj proph vinyl fixx jonas jordon kingpin Hype Roni Size Brian G
Well said royharper, Squarepusher is the man, I have Vic Acid and Big Loada by him, both pure class. Hype and Roni Size are both class aswell, there's just something about dnb, I love dancing to it, you use every limb in your body and just leap around the place, tis pure quality!
That Goldie album's great. My favourite Drum n Bass album is A Guy Called Gerald's "Black Secret Technology" which also features Goldie.
Yeah, I love drum 'n bass as well, especially when i'm going out. I don't think this is called drum 'n bass really, but does anybody here know Panacea? Great music.
Ed Rush and Optical are my bag. Hype is a bit jump up, prefer something a bit darker and moodier. Getting a bit old to brock out for 6-7 hours on the trot now though :$
i think i already mentioned that before :sunglasse - yes he makes *nice noise*..!! (did you know he used to sing in a choir as a kid...) anywayz..i should better prepare for FRIDAY NIIIGHHHHTT..can´t wait to be punched in the face by some wicked rollllllin´ bass *rhyme* *lol* *starts listening to counterstrike* *fucks off into nightlife* have a great weekend, everyone...!
Great link to some fantastic DnB downloads, especially the LTJ Bukem stuff! http://www.swag.at/beats/
big fan of dieselboy, roni, ltj, squarepusher, ... hey amon tobin has come out with a new album "solid steel presents" its got a lot of good drum n bass, and a very interesting dj set i might add!!!
There was a super set by Squarepusher on Breezeblock going around awhile ago, twas fucked up shit altogether. The only Amon Tobin release I have is Verbal Remixes & Collaborations which came out on Ninja Tunes but was far to hit and miss for my liking.
You're in luck, tracked it down........ http://www.krack.org/v3/music/Squarepusher%20BBC%20Breezeblock%2015-03-04%20Set.mp3
If we're talking drums and bass.. I have only one thing to say: rush theyve got the Best rock drummer (neil peart) in the world, and one of the top 10 bassists (geddy lee).
I agree with him /\ but different style of music to DNB obviously!!! Roni Size - Reprazent, is really cool. Very ambient and chilled with a good groove.
