Ruined mansion in the woods (hq pics)

This place is about a 5 minute walk through the woods behind my grannys house. Spent a lot of my childhood messing around up here and revisited it today to draw it.
No one knows how old it is and the owners are that croop (i think)..the people that were making bombs in germany in WWII

 

Unidentified bones were found in the cellar in the 80's
place is supposedly haunted, camped there when i was 12 at halloween for a dare by myself and it scared the shit out of me...quit out before midnight after hearing scratching coming from the cellar :O
was probably a rat though....

im drawing the front side of the house, will just be a pencil sketch but the finished drawing will be in the local art gallery

You dont really get a feel for how huge this tree is from a picture but this is one of the biggest weirdest trees iv ever seen. Tried climbing it but I wasnt able to get up

 

I used to have abandon steel mill pictures, before the internet was invented. I might have them on disc somewhere.
now thats spooky.. thousands of souls put out of work..

We have an abandon mine and a mill in my town. The mine is freaky as hell.

theres a place about 5 miles from me with a huge abandoned mill, you can still go in and climb to the top and at the top there is a 1.5 x 1.5 metre hole that goes all the way down to the bottom and chikens were dropped down there into some container thing when it was being used.

Not sure why they would use that to kill them but apparently thats what they did

 

i think it'd be pretty awesome to climb to the top and smoke up there in the summer

Yeah iv got 7 hammocks in my shed which I plan on putting up in 6 different trees, ones going to go in that one
the 7th one will be my bed for the summer

 

thats a cool old building.
theres an old school in my town that was used before desegregation. it has the same creepy vibe, cool place to smoke too at night.

 

my friend's elementary school over in jersey still has "black" and "white" carved into the walls where water fountains used to be

 

why isn't there any cool shit like this near where i live...

the best i have is some huge kickass river, and a couple abandoned houses.

the rules for the project are stupid though, those ditsy modern art twats at the gallery are insisting that all work has to be faxed through so im limited to black and white and A4 paper

Was thinking of either doing it on black or brown paper with chalk or white paper with charcoal

 

I've always wanted to go to Cork. Take me! It looks amazing!

I'd be swinging off the rafters in that place.

 

That's pretty damn cool. I'd love to go exploring around there. I'm interested in seeing the sketch as well
