My Xbox 360 is still under warranty for 5 days!!!!!

Piece of shit was working two nights ago, and then yesterday I go to turn it on.... and BAM red ring of death.....

I hate xbox now. In fact, if they weren't fixing it for free, I would've trashed the shit.

Edit: This is the 3rd Xbox that's broke on me in 4 years. I've never had that kind of shit happen from a console.

I feel you. I'm just waiting for Diablo 3 and Starcraft II to come out. Fuck the dumb shit.

I've been trying to start playing Eve Online, but every time I download the software it gets an hour into it and tells me something is broken.

I was going to buy a Wii today, but I got vetoed on that shit.

So, I have to utilize the warranty on the xbox and wait for it to fucking go out again. :ack:

At least it has Netflix now and I'll never need cable or Blockbuster again....

I dunno, to be honest. My brother told me that once you're good at the game and established, you can pay for your monthly subscription with in-game credits. And there's nothing I like more than a good game that I can play free.

That's all I really know about it besides the facts that:

A) It supposedly has the most intricate economy of ANY MMO; and
B) The biggest scam in MMO history took place on it in which thousands of players were scammed out of BILLIONS of game dollars.

 

Because it was $200 with no disc games(just 2 downloads), and the xbox is free to fix under warranty still. And we have all kinds of games for the xbox, both disc games and downloaded games.

 

okay... i'm a little behind here.. whats this red ring of death? i've heard of it.. but.. huh? i have an xbox that i bought in december... it works just fine... so far...

 

That sucks everyone I know who has one has had to send it in at least twice. with one person sending it in 5 times. Thats why I sold mine and got a ps3 Much happier now

 

The green lights that light up to show which controllers are on and turn red and flash when your 360 shits out.

You'll know the instant it happens, I swear.

I heard a rumor about 6 months ago that if you send your 360 in 4 times they replace it with an elite.

Figured that shit was a lie, but it wouldn't be a bad move on Microsoft's part, really.

 

hhhmmm.... okay.. well that hasn't happened. does it make a difference what type of xbox i got? it has the internal hard drive...

If you have the black one (Elite), you're probably fine. Supposedly they're soldered better or some shit, but I will say that I don't know of a single person with an Elite that has had to fix their shit. Meanwhile, I've had to fix/replace every xbox I've owned....

 

^ yeah thats why they made the elites so they didnt have the red ring. They threw the hdmi in and the bigger hard drive to say that was their goal.

 

This is true, my friend hasn't had any problems with his elite.
However, they are canceling production of the elite cause they weren't selling enough.
Microsoft is such a shit business.

I like the wii, I like the xbox, I like the ps3.
They all have their shortcomings though.

The wiimote is innovative, but don't assume it's all that - cause it's not. And if you're a graphics whore, you might find frustration in what the wii can offer.
