Ok so I've got 3 or 4 dreads that, at the tip, have for three inches of undreaded bone straight hair. Two of these dreads I have r'n't-ed, and BCed and they still have come loose. BUMs.

WHAT is happening!???!!?!! I dont like it :( I'm gonna put wraps around the two reacurring ones, but shall I just BC the other little b*astard?

I know people may say to leave them to do their own thing but I don't want to leave them xD

Mine took forever to blunt naturally :\ and I still have some that arent blunt cause I tend to chew on them lol

Isn't crocheting the tips in popular around these parts?

haha with my young locks, most of each dread was strait, loose hair. there would just be a couple of inches of knots at the base. it really will sort itself out, but you can also twist and rip those. it worked well for the locks i did it to.

edit: just reread your post. my twist and rip fell out too, but i felt like it added some knots. anyway, i would really just leave it, it really will knot up.
the only way you can ensure that it wont fall out is tie the end off with something or round the end with a crochet hook.

4 inches of undreaded hair at the tips of most of mine 15 months on. Try rubbing the tips against the palm of your hand it really works!

I have one dread that has 6+ inches of undreaded hair at the bottom and whats funny about that six inches is that right there and there only my hair is becoming extremely curly.
the rest of my hair that is undreaded is bone straight. My hair is having an identity crisis.
I also have on dread that has 4 inches of undreaded hair and has been like that for 5 months now that hasn't even hinted that it was going to dread. so I'm clueless too about what to do

most of mine have an inch or 2 theres nothing wrong with it at all
alotta ppl treatting blunt ends like the most important thing made me lil self conceise so i began tip rubbing for a week and god i hated it and really regretted it
i love my whispy ends, and the few that did blunt, and the few that end in a big ol ball i love how they turn out when u let them turn out the way they want

stop freaking out and let them do what they do..and enjoy it..hell become fascinated byu it..the results arent important the journey is
fall in love with the daily changes and forget about the long term goals..

my long ends dont have daily changes, apart from getting looser.

part of me wants to backcomb them again, but most of me wants to leave them and see what happens

I'm fed up of waiting to see what happens :(

I've just rubbed them in the palm of my hand because that has worked wonders for the wispys turned blunts :)

Smello backcomb one and leave the other? Or something xD
