Is litrally one of the worse things I have seen on tv. It is slow, stupid and totally unfunny. I actually thought these two were quite talented on Gavin and Stacey. James Corden co wrote it. I liked Gavin and Stacey, it was innocent but a nice change. But argh! These two have really sunk low with their sketch show, I kind of think you should watch it to see just how dire it is. They should stick to what they know they are good at, but they have just jumped the gun so much what with "Horne and Corden" and "Lesbian vampire killers" which I can only imagine will be unwatchable. They were rubbish at the Brit awards aswell. I really did like them, and I don't know if it is them pushing all this or agents saying "hey! you know what you should do..." and them saying yeah sure, because they are hardly likely to turn down all this. Anyone else see this? Tell me what you think Blessings xxx
i havnt watched it....and after reading this, dont think i'll bother. i liekd gavin and stacey too and found it funny in a natural sort of way. its a shame they are no longer performing to there best. i didnt see the brits either so cant comment on that. i will try and catch an episode of it soon though and let you know my in depth analysis.
well, i watched an episode on iplayer as i dont have to be in work for another 3 hours. you're right, it wasn't very good. i thought james' ricky gervais impression was quite accurate, but i got to say i didn't laugh once.
Against all odds, I actually found it really funny. I'm not even a fan of sketch shows in general. With a few noteable exceptions, they tend to be fairly poor compared to sit coms. But several of the sketches on Horne and Corden had me in stitches. Ok, so most of it was laughing at a fat bloke. But hell, if you're going to be that out of shape, you might as well enjoy it and Corden obviously enjoys it a lot given the number of times he gets his kit off. And the Ricky Gervais impression was spot on. None of it's fresh by any stretch of the imagination, and it may get very stale very quickly, but for a bit of light entertainment I was pleasantly surprised to find myself laughing out loud on a number of occassions....
Don't think my enjoyment of it will be enough I'm afraid. I'm definitely in the minority here. It's been almost universally panned by critics and I can't see them getting another series really. Not unless most of the country disagrees with the critics - judging by the responses on this thread I don't think they do. Not that it's a bad thing. Although I found the cheap laughs on the show funny, I can't see it holding my interest for long. Just look at Little Britain. I laughed at that quite a few times when it started out. But now it bores the hell out of me. I'm just glad Horne and Corden haven't gone down the mornic catchphrase route. Yet....
i used to like little britain when it first came out. now i turn over quickly whenever it comes on, its crap. and dont even like the ones i originally liked. maybe my sense of humours changed. or maybe i just didnt have one before. i think maybe i didn't like Horne and Corden because i was expecting more. gavin and stacey had some real laugh out loud bits in it, but the humour was clever rather than stupid.....i guess i'm just to damn educated for horne and corden.
