Yes is the BEST band to ever exist

Yeah, I've never really heard them in an interview be egotistical or arrogant. I think that most musicians in technically challenging bands like Prog. Rock and Jazz will seem pretentious simply because of the type of music they play. I think a lot of Yes actually has a lot more emotion than a lot of King Crimson. Most musicians are pretty cool about their music and their talents. If the music sounds too forced to you, I guess you just can't listen to it.

Yes is pretty decent... I love 'Roundabout', and 'Owner of a lonely heart'


But I'd hardly call them the best band ever...

My dad saw Yes live and he said they were horrible... and that makes sense, because their music is heavily processed

But nonetheless Yes is a good band.

 

I saw them live in 1994 and they were crisp and clear, stopping on a dime. It's more synthasized than it is processed, as are most progressive rock bands. When did he see them? Supposedly they were best in the seventies.

 

Well I wanted to see them at their 35th anniversary tour which wasn't too long ago, but I cound't make it.


My dad saw them mid-seventies... Hesaid that Jon Anderson couldn't hit all the high notes that he could in his songs, and it just sounded a lot worse overall than he expected.

they have, and the two songs you like are the bands only two sold out songs anyway. nobody knows what they are talking about until you know and can play awaken. that is the song of all songs.

 

and how do you know that they are not having fun, sounds like being precise and technical would be the most fun because its so hard to do.
