Holy shit, I haven't thought about them in years... Alvin Lee, If I remember correctly. He played some pretty fuckin' hot guitar on that Woodstock set! "Goin' home...see my babe..." ZW
yessir, alvin lee was amazing! i wish i was at woodstock to see them. they are a classic blues band. one of my favorites at the momemt
Well, I'm too young for woodstock, But I got album when I was 10 yrs old. (got it from an uncle) Hey, do you know about vintage Fleetwood Mac? I'm talkin' pre chick, Fleetwood Mack. A la Peter Green. ZW
Ten Years After and Fleetwood Mac are awesome blues rock bands. I love to listen to Fleetwood Mac but not anything of their stuff after '72 . They both have some superb live albums as well :cheers2:
Alvin Lee has always been a fav of mine. I have seen him a few times live and he always delivers the goods. I had an old album long ago(cant remember the title) from him that I had been trying to find, mainly because of one song entitled Woodchopper's Ball, but seems that album is out of print now. Well, I found the recording where that album came from at Wolfgang's Vault, a concert from the Fillmore West in 1968, and so I am happy to have found that old gem and Woodchopper's Ball.:cheers2:
I have been obsessed with the song Albatross, written by Peter Green circa 1969....I think its on the album English Rose?? ANyway....obsessed... "Im going home....by...helicopter...." and he was hot to boot
