last august i went to a tour alex grey gave at the chapel of sacred mirrors. Its in New York in the shady club district of manhatten. I went on a bus from philly with two of my bretheren and naturally we all dosed up on LSD. We had a hard time finding the chapel once we go to new york, dont kno if it was the acid or the new city but we ended up makeing it there with time to spare. We went up and waited for the tour to begin, going threw the main peak and eager as fuck. alex came in gave a slight introduction and down the rabbit hole we went. we went into the main part of the chapel and he asked the group of 30 + to all sit indian style and we happily obligied. The truely amazeing part of alex's visonary work is the love that is put into it. He puts icons from all the major religions in his work so anyone can come to his chapel and realte to it. Anyone cane go there and see the message of love. Combineing all that with LSD and the most beatiful paintings ive ever seen left me awe struck. I never had an amazeing trip that went so calmly, but alex really opened me up to myself, even more so then the doses. I really suggest this tour to anyone, some of my friends that dont do drugs went this past september and had an amazeing time. You can find out more at www.cosm.org and www.alexgrey.com. A little drunk guys and i got to leave work so ill edit and spell check in the morning.

    peace be with you

Well, I've been to CoSM, I lived in NYC for several years. It's his gallery, so it will be there for quite some time. But, they plan on building somewhere upstate and will be moving everything there. I would recommend going to CoSM for the experience, but be prepared for a cult feeling. It was interesting but I just felt a lot of negative energy there. Definitely a story for the ages.

    ew cult
    that word scares me
mostly because im the most gullible person ever

    im gonna go though
and ill probably go to the one upstate too
i was raised upstate so that would be interesting
i think it would be a lot better there
    not in the city
but why is there a cult feeling isnt it just like a place full of alex greys art?

seaweedymadness the next tour is November 15th, its not a permanent thing thier is only 3 more tours left. the chapel is opened from tuesday threw saturday from 7 am to 5pm to explore on your own. alex grey will personally explain the meaning behind the paintings and take you threw the chapel space himself if u do the tour tho. The November 15th tour is $30, the one on December 13th is $50 and the final one on new years eve is $100 (u get to toast in the new year with alex grey after the tour). after that the chapel will be closed until they build the new chapel in upstate new york. Hearing the plans that will take some time so i suggest trying to catch one before the new year. go to www.cosm.org and click on COSM Tour to order tickets. I didnt get a cult feeling from the chapel, it was a very loveing and open enviorment. it wont push any ideas on you, it will open u up to them.

    peace be with u
