got caught trying to pick up in SF

so i was visiting san francisco with my cousin for the radiohead concert last summer. I'm a pretty big dead head so I really wanted to tour the area around Haight/Ashbury streets while I was in town. It was like Mecca for me. Music shops/head shops/BEN AND JERRIES pretty cool area. So when some dude asked if i was looking for bud i was more then happy to see what he had to offer. bought a twenty bag just as a patrol car was driving by which is the shittiest timing EVER. the dealer bolted and one of the two cops in the car chased after him. the other cop just walked over real chill and started talking to me as he handcuffed me. ended up spending 15 minutes in police station just outside of golden gate park and talked to a couple pretty cool cops before they just let me go (without by 20 bag ). one of them even told me a better place to pick up. i guess if you're gonna have a run in with the police do it in san francisco...

but i hope you didn't go where the cop told you to go to pick shit up.. it was probably where all the undercovers hang out?

 

I'm sure the cop was actually being helpful, I've heard they are pretty cool there.

 

tbh SF is awesome i went there on vacation and im only 14 and i walked thru goden gate park right past hippy hill and 2 homeless dudes smoked me up it was awesome best vaction ever smoked right in the open in the park lol

 

You can pretty much find any drug you are looking for within 10 minutes of entering golden gate park,

the place is score is around the tunnel and hippy hill, not on haight/ashbury.....

...or sometimes in front of the mcdonalds. I hear acid is a bit scarce currently though.

u know what u shoulda done? get a license since youre in cali and go to a weed shop and bought it legally. im guessin you didnt have time for the legal way.

 

Pretty much any major city doesn't care about marijuana so much (on the user side)
I was NYC last October and I constantly walk past people with big ass spliffs, smokin and not worrying about anything. Guys just walking down the streets (during the day, lots of people on the sidewalk) smokin bud. It was pretty coolio

 

that pretty much sums up why i want to live in california.

 

I live in the Haight and I rarely ever see the cops bust people buying or selling weed. Only if its totally obvious. I walk down the street smoking joints every day, sit in the park and smoke bowls and I've never been talked to. As long as your respectful of where you smoke your cool here.

 

All of you are stupid. Just because you didn't get locked up doesn't mean it's cool to fucking walk around smoking weed in public and shit...idiots. You won't catch me doing that and I have never been arrested for possession either.

 

Do you agree with what was said earlier in this thread, that acid is scare in SF right now?

 

I talked to one of my best friends who lives in bay area and has many friends up and down the coast. Says its hard to find for sure...hasn't seen it in a month
