i fucking HATE the wind!...and every now and then i get the "hi ma'am" and then i say something (i have a fairly deep voice) and turn towards them and they make the face for a millisecond before turning red and apologizing...
Oh yeah :cheers2: *pat puts on his corpse paint and cloak, then returns to the enchanted forests of the north where the sun shall dare not rise above
ohh and 1 of the worse towns was thomasville nc literaly noone would walk the strereets at all, i showed up with a band of freaks 1 guy had his ear stretched till he could put his arm thriugh ge dangled car batteries and scateboards from his ears so we defibnately stood out our van broke down and we were stuck there a few days.. we stopped in the library for an hour to make calls and when we left a cop stops us saying they had ovewr 100 calls because noone knew where we were cause we wernt on the street..they put out an apb just cause we stopped at the library..lol the cop bought us a case of beer a carton of cigs and a dozen hoagies after outr lil picnic we desided to leave town till we could fix the van..on the way out a van stops us and is whispering to 1 of the guys in our group.. the guy he talked to after the van left informs us that he was warning us that "people with guns aree out looking for us" not a fun town to break down in on thew otherhand we broke down in mispiry (100 times just the stand in a tiny town of 300 (where there was the highest number of drug busts in the country) a guy worked on opur truck 3 days and would only accept 1 beer as payment (even after taking a starter off his own truck for ours) all the way cross the state the sec we broke down and popped the hood ppl would stop to help instantly/.. we probly had 150 ppl help us cross the state (which took a pathetic 5 days) gotta say thst was the freindliest most helpful state of em all
Best thing about dreads is the smell Alot of people say Dreads smell but I dunno, I aint convinced haha. Mine just give me a damn nice whiff of tea tree everytime I move in a certain way and damn is that pleasant haha. I can probably go as far as to say if I was blind, i'd still want dreads if I knew they had a funky smell
I like all the dirty looks I get in my town. It's so pathetic, people judging another simply on looks
I'm down with the whole sleeping longer thing. I had pretty long hair before I dreaded and it took forever to wash, dry, straighten every morning. :ack2:
i don't have them yet, but It always makes my day when i walk by a dready on the street. it gives me an excuse to stalk them for a while and oogle.
to me the best part is the confidence....something about leaving the house with a mess on my head that makes me smile
I've never liked having red hair, never knew what to do with it. But when I met a surfer who inspired me I knew I wanted dreads so took the natural rooooute. I now like them because you don't see many people with red head dreads! So its kinda unique.... and because my hair is all clumped it doesn't get in the way as much when surfing! YAY! I do much dislike when I'm sleeping at night and my cat decides to claw and bite at a couple
mosh pits parties and just flailing about to music is soo much fun i love that i can wear justabout any trippy hat sunnies or outfit and itl suit my dreads the pillow thing is defnitly pretty sweet also i like the easy conversation starters how long have you had your ropes for etc
... Getting to talk to you bunch of lunatics all the time . Jk. it's great I love it:cheers2: Oh yeah I like squidging my dreads too, they're squidgy -Huh, did I just make up a word?
i think the best part is the no maitenance. i used to wash, condition and straighten every day. now i only wash my bangs every day and my locks every three days. oh, i agree with a previous poster (sorry forgot the name) that the smell is new to me and very pleasant. the second best is just surprising people. SE mentioned Thomasville, and I'm not too far from there. The culture down here is not necessarily anti-locks, but it definitely is out of the ordinary.
definitely the lack of maintenance that i do on my hair. im a carefree person and i never felt comfortable and happy with my hair until i dreaded. also, mosh pits. i already get respect for battling in the middle with the big king-of-the-mosh guys, and dreads add just a little more and also, it looks rad.
i love how they make me look like i have big hair my hair un-dreaded is very straight and fine without any body or volume. boring. and i LOVE not having to mess around with it.... or ending up with a skinny ponytail every day..... yay for dreads!
1. the portable pillow i have. I can fall asleep anywhere. 2. I love the way they look when tight together. 3. The funny part: Wherever I go and there's music as soon as the dj c me put reggae music, lol 4. It's a good excuse to wear tams! 5. The accesories. They make me look unique. No much ppl has decoration in their hair. 6. Because I always want'em. 7. And the last one in this list. The way I feel close to my real essence.
The best part about having dreads is the time I spend on my hair. I love it. I have always been a lazy person about my hair and only ever washed it and let it dry on its own. Boring... boring. boring. Now (well, not yet cuz they are still pretty baby) I do have a style without doing anything. Love it! Also, I see others have mentioned it, but I really like the volume of my hair. I've always had pin straight hair and am really digging the size.
