I'm watching this commercial for these things, they're hair removal pads, and it's so fucking funny because it's pretty much just sandpaper. They say it's pain free, but they are SO full of shit. You try sandpapering your skin until the hair's gone. It takes half your skin with it. You'll be smooth, but feel like you were just peeled. It hurts like a bitch. I tried one of those things when I was younger and afraid to use razors, and the pain convinced me that a couple of nicks here and there were so much more worth it than removing my skin.
makes me think of that movie "40 year old virgin" when he was getting waxed "OHHH, KELLY CLARKSON!!" I like hair, it is natural..so, I say, "Let it Grow"
EEEEeeeek- My skin just crawled off my body. My sis bought some and tried them.ick ick i couldn't touch them, even being near them icked me out.I hate the texture of sandpaper, or worse fine textured sandpapery things like that- I can't stand to use sandpaper worse the thought of rubbing on my skin- or an emory board on my nails -ick ick ick . Like nails on a chalk board
It's disgusting and I can't believe they're marketing them as a painless hair removal. It's probably the most painful one and shit, I pluck my eyebrows. It's nowhere near as painful as sanding your skin.
i wouldnt mind trying them out if they were actually painless/low on pain.... but im too lazy to hunt them down. ill stick with my cheapie disposable razors
I've seen those! They have one for your upper lip and bikini line! (Ew. Who wants to smear around dead hair in those areas anyway?)
The icing on the cake, is they claim that the product exfoliates and gives you healthier skin. Ouch! Exfoliate sure, because you're sanding your skin!
lol I saw that...the dude that was sanding his chest hair was practically bleeding, his skin was so red
I just stopped shaving. If I do need to shave my legs, I'll use nair type cream products. They are painless and more convenient than shaving and missing a spot. I hate that.
I think I'm slightly allergic to something in chemical hair removals because I always break out in a fine rash for the day after I use them. But it's tolerable enough. It's been a long time since I've used anything like that, though.
Yeah, I have sensitive skin and it always burns when I use it. It isn't good for you, but I find using the cream keeps my legs smooth longer than if I were to shave. I have blonde leg hairs and live in Canada, so shaving is only a necessity about 4 months out of the year. Hahaha, it's funny - because I when I wear capri pants I'll shave up to the cut off of my pants, or if I wear a skirt I will shave only the skin area that is exposed. There really isn't much sense in shaving regularly. I wear a lot of coloured tights and stockings when I wear skirts and can get away with a little blonde hair in the summer months.
I don't shave my thighs anymore, I just really don't need to. But I still shave my lower legs. I have blonde hair, too, so I assume if I let it go like I let my thighs, it wouldn't even be noticeable. The hair's really fine, short, and soft, so they don't feel much different than when I shave them. I'd assume the rest of my legs would feel the same if I let them get past the spiky new growth, lol.
I either wax or shave. I used to wax more frequently when I lived in Santo Domingo, because it's so cheap to get it done professionally. I cant wax myself, I dont mind the pain, but I cant cause MYSELF pain. I got them waxed while I was visiting now. I had gotten so lazy about shaving, big bellies really do make a lot of things uncomfortable. John was loving it when I got back
I don't shave my thighs anymore either, I rawrely shave my legs unless it gets too bad... I HATE shaving... the underarms are a must though, I can't stand the feel of that.
If someone actually touched on my legs or something, I might... but I don't see a point in doing it, and I wear pants most of the time anyway.
