just out of curiosity... this seems to be the must-see hippie band of my generation, so i was just wondering how many have seen em. personally, i think medeski martin and wood, umphrey's mcgee, string cheese incident, galactic, along with some bands i've never seen put on a better show, but still, phish is phish. practically legendary band.
I saw them a few times but now i will be boycotting them for what they just did to their fas. absolutely disgusting.
forget phish 2.0, all they know how to do these days is sell out their fans and make friends with pigs. Go see Umphrey's they are far better musicians and they don't hire federal agents to arrest their fans.
reel big fish is a punk/ska band...my cousin listens to them. phish is a jam/hippie band. sorta like the grateful dead. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBoI4n4mV4U
i seen my first phish show at the palace in 97 they where so flipping amazing ive seen hundreds of band but NOTHING like that show... when they are on there is no magic similar just my opinion ... other jam bands are good but not the same magic. I cannot wait to see them again .. been able to see them about 15 times since and enjoyed every show...flippin amazing ... ( ok so i REALLY like them lol)
i love phish. we're going to mass in a couple of weeks...i've only been to a handful of shows, in 2003. my fiance went to lake placid 96 and vernon downs 98 and maybe another one? and then the ones with me. he still loves phish after all this time. he likes moe., i think moe. is ok. i like mmw he thinks mmw is ok...both of us don't really care for umphrey's mcgee.
wahoooo !!! was a good show! nothing jawdropping but, i loved mule even though heavy things ruined it. over all i had a great time and i didnt complain even though i wished for a better show.
