I flirted with a bit of rap and Afro man is comic relief (honest his album is really good content wise) and City High is deep and lyrically interesting.
Sorry to hear about the rap...pearl jam, led zepplin, doors, creedence clearwater revival, perfect circle, metallica, dashboard confessional, aerosmith...
Keep an open mind thats like saying all rock can be sumed up by Spice Girls take a good look before you judge but nice list.
Nightwish HIM placebo ( Brian Molko WAS really sexy in the early days when he had longer hair - he's digressed a little since then) within temptation flowing tears jimi hendrix the verve Greenday Incubus the doors lacuna coil RHCP the strokes Travis stereophonics beatles garbage pitchshifter peace and love xxxxxx

I know what you mean Voodoo Child about Brian but he has that cool bang type thing now so it is an improvement from his Sleeping with Ghosts era (short and plain). Is it just me or is one of the guys from Good Charlotte trying to imitate Brian in there new vid?
The Who The Beatles The Doors Deep Purple Led Zeppelin Jimi Hendrix The Clash Jefferson Airplane Nick Drake Jeff Buckley Santana the original Fleetwood Mac Charlie Parker Chet Baker Lester Young Bob Dylan Donovan Joni Mitchell Suzanne Vega Eels And more....
Lynyrd Skynyrd are Bush supporters too, are you not gonna like them because of it. Well, in no real order: Pink Floyd Led Zeppelin Bon Jovi Bob Dylan Jimi Hendrix The Beatles Thin Lizzy(Most underrated band ever) Johnny Cash Lynyrd Skynyrd Guns n Roses Fleetwood Mac Ozzy Black Sabbath The Doors Elton John Sheryl Crow Woody Guthrie Neil Young Rolling Stones Bruce Springsteen Eric Clapton Cream The Police Creedence Clearwater Revival Nirvana Pearl Jam Queen Van Halen Iron Maiden Aerosmith Duke Ellington Benny Goodman Louis Armstrong BB King Bethoven Motzart Foghat Avril Lavigne Evanescence Frank Zappa Foo Fighters The Guess Who Miles Davis Metallica Scot Joplin Janis Joplin Steel Dragon(So they're fake, big deal) Three Dog Night Ac/DC Madonna Wings Jefferson Airplane U2 Deep Purple Green Day Van Morrison Weird Al Staind Grand Funk Railroad Steve Miller Band Bob Seger The Bangles Tom Petty Willie Nelson Hank Williams Chuck Berry Elvis Chet Atkins REO Speedwagon Silverchair Journey The Eagles REM Marilyn Manson Jimmy Buffet James Taylor ELP Carly Simon Alice Cooper Shania Twain Bob Marley The Who 3 Doors Down Glenn Miller and this list can go on.
We shoud say a list of 10... MadCapSyd's informative list was WAY hard to read, format wise... And to see the unusual juxtaposition of Avril Lavigne and Frank Zappa in the same list is still quite jarring... My favorites... Radiohead (the best band not mentioned in this thread up to this point) Wilco (the 2nd best, and quite possibly the "American Radiohead.") Ozric Tentacles (the weirdest band not in this thread) Ben Harper (a beautiful, talented person and man) Gillian Welch (one of the finest singer/songwriters currently producing) The Strokes (I like this band's "smart aleck" sensibility) Bob Dylan (masterful...what else to say?) Sound Tribe Sector 9 (great "late night" band) John Coltrane (wanted to have at least one jazz selection) Barefoot Manner (my favorite "regional" band... Hank and the Boys KICK!) These are the current 10 bands that I have the most musical attachment or relation to. This list will be different next month, as several will rotate. Radiohead, Wilco, Gillian and the boys from Barefoot will still be on the list, for sure.
Well, here I go... The Who Pink Floyd Led Zeppelin The Doors CSN(& sometimes Y) Janis Joplin & believe it or not, Billy Joel
I can't say I like bush but Counting Crows are still my favorite band Adam's lyrics are from the heart and his voice is amazing.
Yeah, I think he's a great songwriter...and piano man...and harmonica man too, lol. I need more Billy Joel pride.
Ok here it goes: The Beatles(I know so cliche) Pink Floyd Beck(not Jeff Beck) Jimi Hendrix The Clash Bob Dylan Jefferson Airplane David Bowie Theres more, but I don't want to name them all.
