Hey I'm getting dreadlocks tomarrow, and was wondering if anyone can post a website on how to do them without wax the best. Because my girlfriend is going to do them and all the websites I come across all say to use wax. Thanks for the help.
If you look on the stickies (the five or 6 threads above all the others) on the main dreads forum page there is one thread called 'dread making methods' or something like that. Take a look in there, there is a tonne of info on most if not all methods

as long as ya dont use wax and dont leave in elastics ya cant go wrong some methids do lil dammage as a tradeoff for getting them going faster but no matter what ya do dreads will be the result wether u just stop coming or rip n twist or backcomb some methods are superiour to others for some reasons and eveyone will push theyre method of choice regardless of wether other methods are better so make your own choices based on your research and live with what u get from your choice just..ignore everything that comes with a pricetag and your f dreads cant be avoided if u just allow them to happen on theyre own so wether u go natural backcomb twisht n rip or twist and neglect it wont matter in the end they'll dread just fine just remember..just cause u put more work into em wont mean they turn out better dreads should free you from even having to think about doing things to your hair
^^^ I wanted to add something similar here. Speak for yourself, but I personally have never pushed any method in particular, and always tried to advise people to do proper research on all methods thoroughly first before doing anything.

saw the pics they looked fine, just pay lil attention to my comments, since much of it (back and underneath) will be forming pretty muchu naturaly, since the backcomb wasnt doner well there but it wass somewhat backcombed into a rtats nest that area will have a real tendency to want yo form big assed knots and congos lil bigger then ya probly want.. in the early weeks andf months just keep them well seperated..maybe asdd a few beads to help em.. they will dread fine on theyre own, just might nowt be like ya expect unless u control it through ripping
