But the new Bullet for my Valentine CD is fucking epic. Normally if I'm going to listen to metal it's going to be Origin or Deeds Of Flesh or something really heavy and proggy... but i go over to my girlfriend's house and she plays me the new single track and holy shit. The melodies actually sound original, unlike most of the other pussy metal bands out there. Any other fans (i hate their earlier shit tho)?

I like more of the lines of...Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Death, Obituary, etc etc. You know, good stuff. Not your mallcore.
I could argue the same point. Although you can't tell me Death and Cannibal Corpse sound the same. And I could argue the point for others.
ehh well, most songs from a death metal band sound to similar but most of the hardore bands i listen to are very original and none of their songs sound the same. but yeah, everyone could argue different points for everything lol its all down to personal preferance..
Back when I was say..11 or 12 my preference was pretty much, Metallica (old), Testament, slayer, megadeth, shit like that. But growling vocals grew on me and so did blast beats. So I likes alot of black metal now, Death metal, and unrelated, I enjoy Drone.
I'm pretty selective in my music. I generally don't listen to alternative metal, nu metal, the core stuff and not even death metal. Don't think my post was more worthless neither, I was just pointing out that he should just listen to it if he likes it. I'm guessing you don't like to listen to bands that aren't cool to listen anymore after you're 12? I'm just kidding, stop makin silly assumptions please
