I can't seem to find a helmet that will fit my dreadhead for skating. I fit an lg/xlg helmet before I had dreads and I can't find a company that makes an xlg or xxlg.
I desperately need a helmet so I can start playing rollerderby!

No, because it wouldn't be up to code/standards. I have to have an approved helmet to get insurance to play derby.

do u wear the helmet with hair tied back or flat down

try the biggest yu can find then adjust the hair to fit
even remove some inner padding if need be to fit the hair?

last option would be custom made

Yep, I'm looking into a custom made helmet. I was just hoping that there might be a less expensive, faster option. :(

It's not specifically for rollerderby; any skateboard, snowboard, ski type of helmet will do. I know there's dreadheads here that do those activities, so I was hoping they could help.
I have googled, with little luck. :(

Don't think a football helmet would work....

yeah that is a big problem. i had to buy an XL mens adjustable riding helmet.
i guess look at snowboard helmets. im sure sizing varies a lot so for a different brand or type of helmet, XL could still fit you.

Unlucky for me, the law is in my way, I drive a Moped and have not been able to drive since starting my dreads two and a half weeks ago, cause my helmet no longer fits. im waiting a week or two before going to get a new one to see if my hair settles down at all but i dont think it will
