This is gonna sound like a shameless PLUG for this website, but... Hip Publications puts out a few Hippie related things, I think. Check the MAIN page for links. They'll be on the left side of your screen near the TOP.

Sweet, thanks. Have you ever heard of Mother Earth News? I saw it at a Christian Liberal Arts college that i visited a few weeks ago, and then again at Barnes and Noble.

Earth Garden Mag published in Australia.Dunno if it available in USA.They have a web site
    www.earthgarden.com.au

A very much behind and suppressed news mag is Nexus. You can get that at Barnes & Noble even though it is Australian. The link is listed under "International" on hippy.com links page.

Mother Earth News is awesome. My dad loves a mag called Harrowsmith. It seems to have lots of info about gardening and animals, natural & organic stuff.

I wasn't too impressed with Mother Earth News. I really didn't care for their politics. If you can look past that, they have some good information. But I just didn't like the attitude of not really caring about the Earth, just wanting to get away from society...

well, MEN was a back to the land magazine, so that way they have stayed mostly true to their aims.
E Magazine is worth reading at the library, but not subscribing
BackHome is by the folks who started MEN (Mother Earth News) and has much more of the backwoods feel.
Utne (was Utne Reader) is a digest of articles from many sources. Many enviro points of view.
I know hemp-focused magazines exist, and I'd suggest a Net search on the topic.
