I've recently decided to expand my vocabulary by using words I make up myself. It's fun because people don't understand a word you say! Make up a word and post it here so we can all become more ingroynase. ZORK: a zork is someone who's life has been absorbed by online games. e.g "Look at that Zork! He lost his wife and kids to world of warcraft!"

There was this guy on Kerrang radio that had developed a condition in which every morning he woke up with his eyes encrusted in that gunky stuff. He was the first recorded person to have it so the doctors said he could name it. Unfortunately, he asked the Kerrang radio listeners to name it for him. It's now called " Eye-gunky-itis"! Anyway, "Crappenigma" - A combination of existing words to describe those times when you go to the toilet, spend half an hour squeezing out what feels like a large cactus, only to find there's nothing in the toilet when you look.
I'm cheating, here. The word already exists, "Bufflehead". It's a North American duck. The drake's courtship display includes "rapid, jerky movements, most frequently a head-bobbing action by the drake. The most striking display is a short flight over the female in which the male flutters its wings below the level of its body, keeping the head and tail lowered, finally landing in a "water-skiing" posture that displays the feet as well as the plumage. The upwards stretch with wing-flapping, common to most ducks and some other water birds, terminates most bouts of displaying." I couldn't find a video, but I have seen it, and it is quite elaborate and silly. The word needs to come into general usage, meaning "someone who engages in elaborate & silly displays to attract the attention of others, especially those of the opposite sex", as in "My friend Arjay was such a bufflehead before he got married."
