Personally I would not use wax. Wax is something that I wouldn't want in my hair just because that is not the route I want to take but some people uses or used wax and liked the results. I think that you should try to read up on it and form your own opinion. I think it is great that you came on here to see what people would say because there is a lot of wonderful people with many different kinds of dread experiences.
In the end I hope you decide on what is right for you

Well....at least spunk is organic and you can wash it out easily and it won't leave residue in your dreads.
