They've faded now, like they do, but back then they were all red and purple and horrible...and my friends would ask what they were and when I said stretch marks they'd be like, "But aren't they what pregnant women get? yeah thats what mine are from, growth spurt. i dont think they were ever purpley though.. theyre white now, but a different white to my skin so they still show up!
