my mom usually gets the 2 local papers - Boston Globe and teh Boston Herald sometimes i'll splurge and get the NYT paper i can't read the paper online - well, i can, but its much better in paper form plus i'll pick up the bi-weekly and weekly papers from around town and boston - south boston tribune, south boston online, boston phoenix, weekly dig, stuff at night, and a couple others
I like the LA Times, but I can't get it locally ): I tried switching over to the New York times but it sucked, besides the arts section. The rest was far too pretentious to me. Why does a large part of New York and NE think they are more socially and academically elite than other areas of the country? You guys aren't special. We have good schools in CA too and our own MOMA.
Ooh, that reminds me. I really like the 'supplements' that come with the guardian. I remember a while ago we got one which came with transcripts of 999 conversations. One was this little boy who called when his mum had an epileptic fit which made my eyes water. Epileptic Fit
My parents both read The Guardian. I glace at some of the stuff that appeals to me, and the extra thing that comes with it is called G2, thats sometimes good. But whenever I read one or even pick it up I ALWAYS end up crumpling them up of folding them wrong. They just, fall apart! Blessings xxx
I hate newspapers, they are the most needlessly frustratingly difficult things to read. They're so fucking huge there never any proper room to read them, they're noisy, cheap quality, aren't even bound so you have to fold them over each other constantly when turning pages. You'd think we'd have moved on to something better by the 21st century.
No ya'll aren't! Grrrrrr. We have state schools that are far more elite than your shitty private, overpriced schools. Also, it's fucking cold there and your weed sucks. You all are so cold you just have to sit in the house all winter finding ways to make yourself better thant eh rest of the country.
I used to suscrube and really liek the Christian Science Monitor throughout college too. iot always gave me very interesting paper topics. I don't like reading my news on the iternet. I stopped reading the paper because I drove so much when I moved here that I just listened to NPR for my news. But now that I am a one-person sweatshop and only work at my 'real' job a few hours a week, I am thinking of getting the LA times and Christian Science Monitor again when we move.
Why would anyone when you can read it online http://www.seacoastonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/section?Category=NEWS Hotwater
The Washington Post, Folio Weekly, occasionally the NYT and LA Times. Even more occasionally the Florida Times-Union
It's a habit of many years for me.I find the news on the net like a snack and the news in print like a meal.I've always bought whatever local paper wherever I've lived. It's really the only way to find out what's going on nationally and locally.I will miss print news if papers keep going out of biz.I read every article and classified ALL the way through.
Yes. I actually like reading adds (when taking an especially rough shit), it serves as a nice distraction. I'm kinda obsessive about the stuff. I read everything. I've read every single label on every single thing I own.
My husband got me the gallon sized of my favorite Aveda conditioner. I read and smell it when I am on the potty. Pooping really grosses me out and makes me feel sick, so I always read my bath products and practically ingest them by smelling them so hard.
I don't think I've bought a newspaper in my whole life. Don't like to watch or read the news anyways, so it works out fine. Someone should publish an all-cartoons newsp.. er, paper. Toonpaper? Now that would be something I'd be interested in.
