Ok, all my life I've believed that the body goes through a change every 7 years. I am not sure where this came from... and no one I talk to in person seems to know what I am talking about.. but I know I learned it from somewhere. Does anyone know anything about this? Where it came from? What it's all about exactly? Anything?

Every 7 years, every cell in your body has died and is either replaced or not (in the case of brain cells). In other words, when you turned 7, the cells you had then are completely different (well, they have the same DNA, but you know what I mean) from the cells you were born with.

Ohh... I thought it was like, every 7 years your body goes through an overhaul and changes itself. I guess I was hoping that when I turn 28 I won't be sick anymore.

The seven-year change is also mentioned in the movie Waking Life.

I know I will have this disease for the rest of my life, and it will never go away, but it does go through periods of "remission". I mean I am always sick but I go through periods where I can deal and it's not a big deal and other periods where life is absolutely miserable becuase it's really beating me down. Right around when I was 21, I had one huge attack and ever since it has been kind of a bad phase, so I was just hoping for the slim chance that maybe if the 7 year cycle thing was what I thought it was, my body might change and I would feel better when I hit 28. Silly, I know.. but just hopeful.

Bree, that sounds horrible... You are a beautiful, sweet girl. I hope they find a way to allieviate your symptoms, soon. :)
