Hey guys I have had this clay Sherlock looking piece for about 4 mths now. Its really gooey because its really hard to scrape a Sherlock. Does anyone have any ideas for cleaning it? Mybe a way were I could get some resin off it? I have seen topics about soaking pipes or using salt with rubbing alchoal. I know this works for glass but does it work on clay.
a clay pipe? be careful, i wouldn't use paperclips, maybe those small pipe-like cleaners, the ones with the small metal bristles, and clean it with that. but you could also soak it in alcohol, that's like the universal way.
Try taking the fuz off a Q-tip so its just the stick part and poke it throughand try to blow out the rest.
One of the things about clay pipes is that any scraping is bad for it. The only thing you can use is a pipe cleaner. Don't soak it. Pipe cleaners only. You will have to remember that clay pipes, although are neat and all were the first disposable product. They were nover designed to last a long time. Good Luck!
