Hey everyone! I'm from the philadelphia area and i've been looking for new cultural or music festivals to go to. If anyone has any in mind or knows of something near the area please let me know! Hopefully I will talk to some of you soon! Thanks! Leena eace:
your looking for books 2 read? Definitely read Go Ask Alice Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and also Ellen Hopkins' books Crank and Glass which go 2gether .. Impulse is another really good book of hers
thanks for the book recommendations! Ill have to check it out. As for how far I'm willing to drive, I would like to stay within about a 2 hour radius. Only because it's difficult to schedule anything to drastic with the way my job and school hours are treating me. But over the summer I would like to travel a bit.
Hello Leena! Welcome to HIP! It's a fun place, especially once you reach the 50 post mark. P.S. Cute pics!
Certain areas open up, if I can remember that far back. It becomes easier to make friends with fellow posters...that sort of thing. As in Philadelphia suburbs? I've flown OVER New Jersey this year and the only part of PA so far in 2009 is Pittsburgh's airport in Findlay. I myself live southwest of Hartford, about halfway between Boston and New York City.
wel i have a friend who knows of a boat load of fests in PA. ill ask her today and hopefully she'll get back to me. lots of nice chilled local fests from wat i hear. cheers and i second the cute pics! very fun
Gaian Mind is a summer fest based out of Philly....super awesome electronic stuff (if your into that) like KiloWatts for example... speaking of, i looked on their website (www.gaian-mind.com) and they have an event tonight (Sat March 14th) featuring KiloWatts himself!!! If i were in Philly i would do just about anything i could to make this one....maybe you should check it out lol looks like its at the ZOT restaurant? 122 Lombard st. apprently...21+, 5 dollar cover (fantastic deal) 9pm-2am......KiloWatts headlines (one of personal favorites..)..their Summer Festival is a 4 day, 5 night event in Philly that features similar talent from across the globe...click their website if you are interested. Cheers!
Gaian Mind sounds pretty sick. Except that I'm 19 so unfortunately that would not work out so hot but thank you!! I'm sure there are many others. And On the Road is a book that I've constantly been meaning to pick up, and it has been recommended by many to me. I admit to being such a horrible reader, though. I love learning knew and interesting things but I jump around too much between books. I find it so difficult to read something cover to cover without getting distracted by something else. I'm working on it
