It's a bit off topic, and the marijuana forum is pretty much the only one I post in. But I was just wondering if any of you guys experience this same thing that happeneds to me... I'm guessing i've been having this happened for about a year and a half, I always "feel" my heart? It's hard to explain, it's sort of a pain but it doesn't really hurt, it's more like I just notice my heart area all the time, maybe a little bit of a pressure feeling. But more recently, a little above where that feeling is, randomly, maybe 2-3 times a day, for the last 3-4 months i've had this twitchy, fluttery feeling right where that is, like my heart is twitching or something, and it really REALLY freaks me out, and what's worse is, i've told my parents about it, but they don't seem to believe me and push it off... I think that is because i'm always worrying about something being wrong with me, and asking them about it(and usually i'm right =/) The fluttery feeling doesn't hurt it's just extrememly weird and it makes me stop, and i'm scared to work out or excersize in fear that i'm gonna have a heart attack or something because of it. I've done a bit of reading up(mostly googleing it) about it and it seems there are a few peole complaining about the same thing. And nothing has been really wrong with there hearts(from tests from the docs) but I can't really be sure of that about myself. I was wondering if any one of my fellow stoners here are experiencing this same problem or knows anything about it, it wasn't hear before I started smoking the reefer but started quite awhile after I did so I don't think its related, and I doubt it is. anyone got any info that could help me out? again it never really hurts just feels uncomfortable and makes me worry a lot, I constantly am "feeling" my heart, and lately 2-3 times a day it feels like it twitches or flutters.
Why don't you like.......go to the doctor and tell him this.... And what's with all these "help me" threads? Good god the lounge is being overrun.
Are you physically active? As in, do you have a cardiovascular workout at least once every three days? (That would mean you run for at LEAST 12 minutes STRAIGHT no stops) If not, you might want to look into it, besides from being overall healthier, your heart will strengthen, lungs strengthen and you will feel better in general (endorphins)! Speaking of which...I need to start running again...
It sounds like a heart palpitation I used to get them all the time, they have since stopped. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palpitation
maybe you have a heart murmur, which is an irregular heart-beat. just go to the doctor, bring it up, seriously, to your parents. i have one, or had one. it used to be (literally) a pain, but it's subsided these days. i always remember that it used to be scary, so i'd want to get it checked out. there's no reason not to.
I think I know what you mean. I get that "fluttering" sensation from time to time, usualy about once every 2 or 3 days, and it only lasts like 2 seconds. I can definatley feeling it, but it dosent hurt, and its nothing I worry about.
Please see a doctor, it could be just about anything. If you can't see a doctor, ask your heart how it feels... ?
if your heart feels like is racing out of control, probably a heart murmur. If not it's prob what burnt suggested
I get heart palpitations occasionally. yeah, if anything is really bothering you, bring it up with your doctor.
Yup, heart palpitations. It's very common. The blood in your heart will reverse direction for second. Often caused by Anxiety. Not something to really worry about but always a good idea to check it out. It could be other things as well but I am not a doctor and I don't have all the history on you as well as all that good equipment.
talk to the doctor, they will probably send you to a cardiologist if it sounds like it could be something bad. i have to get a holter monitor (an ekg you wear for 24+ hours while you go about your day) because my heart is out of control. i can't do yoga without my heart freaking out. nothing like thyroid issues.
The medical term for what you are describing is called....''exploding heart syndrome''...it is 100% fatal unless....unless you go on the internet and ask advice from strangers, dreadies.stoners, philosophers who knows who else...then you will be ok......
Lay off the coke (sodas, not cocaine). I guess cocaine would still be bad for your heart though..... I think caffeine and sugar can be pretty rough on a youngen's heart.
Sounds like he uses stimulants a lot. Ones like amphetamines or cocaine, If not then that sucks. Because if so just stop. and lol rollingalong. But seriously it's true.....
Holy shit man I get the same feeling, and after I get that feeling it feels like it will happen again if I ake a deep breathe. It's hard to explain.
....That was such a shitty attempt at a joke... Like did you really think tht would make people laugh? Sorry if I sounded like a dick there but that was just terrible.
