yo. so. im growing outside this summer and i have a couple ideas. First of all. the area i have selected is very close to a marshy area. closest plant to the marsh is 3 meters. furthest is 15. do i have to worry about root rot with my plants in such a moist area? on another matter, one of the plants is a simple gravity fed hydro system in two 5 gallon buckets. do i need to seal these from rain water? and cause im a grow idiot, what nitrients do best for outdoor crops? any and all help appriceated. haters can hate else where. -moonshine
If you go from a 16 oz cup straight ot the 5 gal. pots you won't have to worry about root rot, just root bound. if it rains a lot, yes you need to seal it from rain because too much water will cause root rot. You should just go with FoxFarm ocean soil and just use FoxFarm GrowBig nutes. Note: follow the instructions of Fox Farm's site for correct doses. may want to go half the doses at the beginning of veg P.S. GL and don't tell anybody your growing
yo man only only of the plants is in buckets. will the other 2 be effected by the extra moisture of the marsh growing that close. cattails thrive there, but they end and ceder trees start. ill be plating in the ceders not the cat tails so i should be ok right?
