I have been prescribed Lyrica by just about every doctor I have seen. Currently on a 375mg daily dose. Have a script still in my wallet for 450 75mg pills. Still have some 150mg pills sitting around from an earlier script.

I don't notice this doing much, if anything. It is supposed to control nerve pain, but it doesn't control mine. It is a controlled substance, albiet a lower schedule than most of the commonly discussed drugs here (Schedule 5 I believe).

Is there any use for this? Does anyone else take it and notice an effect. If I haven't noticed anything, am I probably just giving a $25 co-pay for nothing?

I have liked my times with Lyrica. I usually sniff 2 or 3 capsules and I feel good. The powder does not burn and is really smooth. But some people find it weak. Lyrica is related to Neurontin and I get a strong euphoria from Neurontin as well whereas other people don't feel anything whatsoever.

I'd say get them, and try sniffing 2 or 3 pills.

I eaither sniff the powder or parachute the powder. I don't pop them whole however. Matter fact, I don't pop any pill whole because I don't like to wait long.

And from what I've read, Lyrica is water solluble

I was low on opiates, so I wanted to see if this would give me pain relief at a higher dose. I went to 525mg and there was pain relief. There was also severly reduced motor skills, slurred speech and slow thinking. I'd only go that high again if I was in severe pain and was not going to have to get out of bed for a while.

Lyrica works for me for a nerve condition that I have. If I have pain from my nerve condition, Lyrica works much better than any oppie could. However, as far as working for pain for my lower back strain, nothing works better than 1 diclofenac 1 skelaxin and 1 norco. For euphoria, nothing works better than 40mg of Oxy, 30mg of Valium a blunt and a bottle of wine (or two 40s :D)
