How gay is it for a guy to wear bobby pins?

Cause I totally do.

I'm letting my hair grow and I work in formalwear and can't wear a hat. My hair is super thick and takes a ton of gel to style which makes it all greasy and gross. So I wear one or two pins to maintain it.

You wouldn't believe how many guys come in here and just give me this look if they notice. It's pretty funny. I'm going to get my ass kicked one of these days.

 

Your concern for the opinions of a group of strangers is misplaced. Folks willing to make a blanket judgment based on something superficial render the value of their opinion to be worthless... I'd worry less about such negativity. If your consciousness isn't polluted by such trivial worries then it'll be easier for you to carry yourself with an air of confidence- and people find that to be very attractive.

 

It's pretty gay, but it makes sense why you do it.

Bobby pins have no sexuality; theyre pieces of metal. If other people view you as gay for being well kempt, they clearly have one or two issues that need to be worked out. Dont fret over it.

And dont use gel. Its a repulsive substance and legislative action should be taken against it. If you dont want to wear bobby pins anymore, but still want to keep your hair in check, find some hair wax. Its stronger than gel, and looks natural. No grease or flakes. I suggest American Crew or Gatsby (the latter is Japanese, so you'd have to order it from ebay or Amazon).

 

Would be a funny story if you ever forgot them before walking through a metal detector

IT'S HAIR. i'll never understand people's preoccupation with what other people do to their hair.

 

We have been culturally groomed (pun) to emphasize the superficial.
