Just a quick sort of question........ How long did it take your loose baby hairs to grow into your dreads? Im over 1 and a half years into the journey and while the rest of the dreads have gone really well the damn baby hairs just wont join up to the rest. It doesnt really bother me because I know im gonna have to wait either way, it just looks damn untidy and I need to get a fucking job.
They seem to be an ongoing thing...coz once one lot have found their way into a dread, a new lot will be growing. You know?
Yeah that makes sense hahah. I got this headwrap I can put on for job interviews or weddings n shit where I need to look awesome so I spose it aint that bad really. Cheers amybird.
ahahaa^.^all my baby hairs have been eaten up. I wanna get mine out somehow, it feels kind of uncomfortable :/
You've got beautiful locks luxie. I hope mine look as beautiful as that when mine are that length haha. And I hope my dreads get hungry and eat up all the baby hairs hahah.
After more than 4 years, I still have lots of loose baby fine hairs around my hairline. My locks must be anorexic too.
ya I have it all around my hairline too,... it bothers me some when its all fluffy and crazy....but after a shower they go into little ringlets and its so cute!
I know the feeling all my baby hair, especially around the back of my head and near my sideys forms crazy ringlets. Although to be honest i'm not that bothered about them. I went completely natural which just instills an ability to just stop wrong about them. Yumyum they will do whatever they want in the end, stop trying to control the process!! Dreads are beautiful because of there uniqueness, love for what they are, and they will love you back.
make a peyote stitch bead, slip it on...leave it for a few days, your dread will eat the loose hairs, then take it off...not sure how fast this works for mature dreads but mine eats the hairs withing 2 days...And, there easy to make, And you can make them any width or length.
I've got baby hairs that are loose and free that curl near my temples. It's cute but I too wonder when/if they'll get sucked into a dread!
haha... mine are kinda like that!... the ones that bother me are at the nap of my neck... but I know they would pull if they were in dreads...so I've just made peace with them, and we agree to disagree.... nasty little flyaways... haven't talked to them in days. uh...ya
Thats a serious ringlet, have you ever thought about backcombing that one (no offense if your a natural afficionado haha)
I did backcomb it but it wouldn't stay... Eventually I kept playing wit it with my fingers and I think I finally got it to knot up by sort of twisting and ripping and rubbing it in between my thumb and forefinger. I'm not natural afficianado btw, I backcombed and waxed.
