I wouldn't say Duran "sucked" I would say they were one of the more Mainstream influential bands. "Planet Earth"

like I was saying (jumpy notebook I have here) - "Planet Earth" was the pinnacle of New Wave - 1981 furturistic looking etc. After that as we know DD weent on to work with many artists including Mark Egan and David Gilmour (Arcadia years), they also worked with Andy Hamilton who played sax w/ Floyd and producer Mark Berry. I would hardly think anyone "sucked" after getting those guys attention.

When I heard Alice in Chains Man in the box in 1989 I knew new wave was dead and smiled:D
