many cultures treat transvestites as holy in india, also native american triebes and other tribal cultures my sisters ex husbands dad was a transvestite and came to theyre wedding in a dress, 1/2 the family wasnt aware it was a guy..it was kinda funny seeing some of the more conservative family members talk about how pretty "she" was then the shock when they called for the father of the groom to make a speech and it was the pretty lady they all thought was his mom..lol nice guy tho
Ok, have to go back to the house and the clothes... The clothes site is bookmarked for future gifts from hubby. He fell in love with the clothes too!! So darn pretty.. you can feel the kindness and love in them. And the house... well, what can we say... hubby loves it as much as I do. I sooo want to be deep in the forest somewhere and let my kiddos grow up learning about what really matters. sigh...
Are you sure its trannys other cultures give respect too?? I thought Hindus payed homage to uh...oh crap...the name has escaped my head...you know when your born with a penis and vagina?! They find gender adrogyny holy because Siva is both male and female...its the whole yin yang thing and the premise of Kama Sutra.
Oh and you dont have to be livin deep in the woods to live a blissed out life. yes nature is gorgeous but I find more beauty in the city. maybe thats just me?? I like to be in the heat of the action. Being a beautiful blossoming goddess in the city is like watching a beautiful weed grow despite the odds in a cement crack. Dont get me wrong...I find great solace in the woods but I think livin the mountain life to some is overrated.
yes thanks amy Hermaphodite! Ive never heard of trannys being put on a pedastal. Snails have penis's in their neck! Crikey I never knew that! Thats awesome!
im a bit of a geek =] (i didnt dissect a snail to discover that (not being a geek, but their pensisisisisies))
yeah, in india they also celebrate what we would call birth defects as blessings, being born with four arms and four legs would make you a god/dess in your village. Anychance you have anymore pictures of that cabin, maybe inside, or info about how it was made, id really like to know more about it
she had 1 or 2 more picvs on her myspace i can ask her and in certain native american traditions somneone whos a (i may spell this wrong havent written it in ages) heyute is that right? id hafta look it up heyute heyuka somethibg like that is like a sacred clown someone who might wear a dress walk backwards just do things contrarywise the cerimony you hafta perform if you ever want tio stop being a heyute and pass it on to another involves reaching in to a pot of bioling water up to your elbows without getting burned its actualy even more hardcore then that but didnt wanna get into the freaky details but lets just say its something taken very seriusly
Mandy, you speak such sense! You are a beautiful light <3 I've grown up in Dublin and have such a great love for city life. I to like to be in the midst of all the action, I like rushing through the streets and bumping into people, finding a great cafe hidden away in a lil nouk. I like eating and watching the people go by. Looking at all their faces and imagining what they do and what they're thinking. Me and my friend did this art project where we took photos of all the interesting people we met in the city. There are some crazy wonderful people in Dublin. I've made so many friends just from being out, drinking and chatting to people on the streets. The great thing about Ireland though is that everything is a half hour drive awayI have the sea just outside my door and then a 15min train ride to get into the city. Then a half hour car ride and you are in the middle of the green countryside. Our log cabin is only an hour away too and is right by the lake. But in my heartttt I am a city girl^-^and proud of it. Too much time in open nature and I start to feel a bit lost and un-entertained.
also I see so many amazing dreads in Dublin, it aint just 'living in nature' which makes dreads better(?)city dreads have a more 'I've seen shittt' look about them haaha
I prefer to live in the mountains, but I'm just anti-social for the most part. After being secluded in the woods for while, I get the urge to go to the city and soak up the vibes. I love the culture that some cities have, the shopping, the sights, the shows. But then I get overwhelmed and have to retreat back to my rural habitat. Dreads are beautiful no matter where they grow! A tree in the city is just as wonderful as a tree in the forest.
i know just what you mean about the city luxie. i love the feeling of it, but it also overwhelming for me. i grew up in a really small and isolated town (you need to take a ferry to get here) but the first 5 years of my life were spent in vancouver. i have uber nostalgia whenever i visit the city and part of my really does love it. but i dont think i could live there for more than a year. where i live now is semi-rural and ive had chickens, goats, ducks, gardens... and i definitely want that kind of life in the future as well.
Theres a Spanish painting, Renaissance i think I wish i could remember a title or artist, but its a young man holding a pin wheel, he was a jester, and most likely mentally retarded, which ment they considered him to be "touched by god" anyone know what im trying to think of here?
yes yes Lux! Im from Orange County...southern Cali....I was born and raised in the city. When i turned 18 I moved from rural area to rural area. Ive had the opportunity to live in some crazy secluded places....such as inside the grand canyon for 5 months. Man I dont know how the Indians did it! I went completely insane! Some cities do have scary vibes but some are wonderful! I plan on finally planting roots in Berkeley...near San Francisco. We'll be official city dwellers then! Im excited. Theres so much to do there. Theres art and music on every corner! Your art project in the city sounds like fun. Once my man and I were eating at this burrito joint and some random guy came up to us and said he was doing a similiar art project and asked if he could take our picture!!!! It was fun to be a part of that. My bestest friend and her hubby live on 85 acres of undeveloped mountain land. Its a bitch! Oh my. They pee in carved out logs and stuff. I always have to stop at the gas station on my way to their house and pee before I get there. They bathe in the river....which is cool I respect that lifestyle....but just could never do it. They never leave their property!!!! Trying to get them out to come to shows with me is like pulling teeth. I guess that lifestyle is good if your content being a hermit. I just enjoy doing stuff. I like going to the movies, going to shows, searching cities for vegan eateries! And yes...people watching is soooooo much fun! Funner than watching squirrels. =]
For some reason I can't go into a cafe or whatever alone to people watch. I think people think I have no friends. It's odd.
