09 annual gathering

hey dont know if its been talked about on here as im new to the boards, but not new to rainbow. the ANNUAL gathering is in New Mayhico, mexico, however you say it this year, right?

kinda hoping in the same general area as last time ..not same exact site ofcourse, but around taos area, was so incredibly beautiful
and spent lil time in the area after cleanup, the people are freaking amazing

 

When, where, an' how would I go about gettin' there with no car an' such? i live in indiana by the way. as my name says.

when well officiakly (as official as anything unoficial can be) july 1-7 but with seed camop and cleanup june (15thish? sometimes earlier) till mid aug average, if u stay thge fulltime be there to help out not just bliss and be in the way.
id advidse at least 2 weeks if u cxabn

well where is announced 1st day of seed camp, as of now new mexico..where in nerw mex is not known, it may even be acroos a border in a digffferent state by the time its settled..thats just how it goes.

easy way..rideshares kyndrideshare or craigslist
or even here
other watys hitchike hop trains bike walk hot air bakloon mule drawn cart solar powered bike train teleportation hasnt worked out so well yet but u can always try.
find local foljks going there will be plenty ..organize a caravan.
several ppll walk farther then youd hagve to walk..theyre hard core..
alotta weekend warriors and others fly andf hitch or get rides from local airports.

can u ride a unicycle?

a horse?

got a few big dogs to pull ya in a shopping cart?

one guyy uses a thing called i think a gitalong or something its a cart perfectly ballancesd so he skip/hops along swinging his legs every bounce takes him 10-15 feet in the air and every swing takes him 20 feet forward..its a beautiful peice of rainbow technology

Well I won't be able to make it this year man. Still got another 13 months of probie left to get through. And job corp to get my ged and some training. But if all works out I'll be comin' next year. Can't wait. I may even try to rent a bus from a friend of mine an' pick up other rainbows to make the trip with me.

by then we'll have a new bus (was just lookinbg at a few 5 min ago) and there will be plenty of busses going from all over u can hook up with.

hey to all family Nice to see rainbow here. I'm in St Louis and just checking out the hip forum last few days just enjoying the folks hangin here.The weathers teasing us with camping temps. The rumors I hear for the annual is The Big Island? With a split somewhere stateside?Am waiting for welcome home to announce Juneish after regional. Well, I guess New Mexico is kind of a pretty big island, if you ignore the fact that it is land locked.....Is the "Big Island" to which you are referring Hawai'i? Where did you hear that one? There's an Illinois regional in June?

hey Sorry for sounding too traveled like in "big Island" ..I heard this from my daughter.. I laughed at the rumor for obvious boating challenges for me to go. New Mexico would be alot better.The couple of email notices that I used to get, stopped, for unknown reasons "howdy folks"of welcome home. I know "Legal Scottie" St.L., Scottie A. helps family with gathering legal support? Thanx for the heads up for New M. maybe I'll make this year ..? Oh yeah the Shawnee Il Is usually for tougher younger brother and sis's than me. Always tons of fun and equal difficulties. I may do the Mo.no plans to yet.Always hopeing to... Peace

 

Im still so torn on this year.. wanting to go, but wanting to wait on my health to get better as well. I might be waitin till next year. But, next year for sure. Im just a few hours from Indy, so hopefully I can catch up with Indy Hippy for that trip.

If anyone is near Southern Indiana, Im still thinking about going this year.. send me a message. I have a car that does great on gas (4o mpg) so we can save by taking it. :driving:

nice right on.All went well up there I hope. And that Scottie. Normaly I see him summertime Sundays at the Loops drum circle. But its ify for this year. Last year they almost shut it down.We're hopen on the good outcome. I imagine this Sunday will be the test.... I don't think I even talked with any one that went to either IL Shawnee or Ozark regional did it go well and good and all.?Good water , good smoke , good people....No rampaging mosquito swarms or leos I hope.Til next movie ...peace..lovenya...
