I doubt it's been noticed, but I've been somewhat absent of late :)

I've been busy as heck, working hard AND... my book is finally out. Shazam

"Cold Turkey and the Case of the Missing Crime"

    Stoke-On-Trent.

What it lacks in grandeur, awe-inspiring scenery, breathtaking culture and complex enticing history, it makes up for in factories and dog-shit all over the pavements. But the Union of Crime-fighters Heroes and Allied Trades, headed by the magnanimous Captain Rightwing, has decided to clean up this city.

What can go wrong when your home is protected by hordes of bemuscled warriors in cloaks and tight blue lycra? The crime rates are dropping, the wealth is rising… but something is missing, and worst of all nobody is sure what it is.

Now it falls upon Cold Turkey, shamed private detective and gentleman of leisure to save the day. Dogged by Police Chief Albert Kraken, hunted by New-Age hitmen and largely hindered by a veritable ensemble of well-meaning allies, talking heads and the mysterious fey-underworld, Cold Turkey will be tested to the very limits of his cognitive ability…

and all this before 11 a.m. on a Thursday.

Ja, a short one, it probably escapes being a novella by a few thousand words.

I'm a whopping 51,271 in the Amazon sales ranks, up from 150,000.

As you can see, fame and fortune await ;)

Hey, I bought your book! I bought it because I really liked your poetry on the other forum and also I was born in Stoke-on-Trent. It sounds really Terry Pratchett-esqe

    Heh :) Thanks Lillith,
I'll have to pop back with some more poetry at some point, I've been neglecting hip forums a bit in recent months, still reading from time to time but not posting much.

    Here is one for ya:

    post-it dotes

    I wrote a little poem,
    On a post-it note
It was a work of art
    That poem which I wrote

    I wrote a little poem
    But it came unstuck
and now it could be anywhere
    How's that for crappy luck?
