I wanna find a new way to put my hair up. I am sick of the same ol' boring ponytail all the time.

I see girls with their long hair put up in a way so that it looks messy but at the same time it looks good. How do you do this? It's sorta like a bun, I guess, but hair is everywhere.

I tried hair sticks, I must have done it wrong because my hair would unspiral and the sticks would go flying right out. My hair is really thick and strong and hard to work with, being naturally curly.

If you can't get your hair up with just the chopsticks, put it into a regular bun, then put the chopsticks in...I used to do that when my hair was short

i hope this isn't too obvious but this is what i do (my hair is unruly too).

i start off making a regular ponytail with an elastic the beofre the last "twist/bind??" i capture 1/4 of the ponytail in the elastic instead of pulling it all thru - leaving the rest hanging downward.

with the hair "bump" caught in the elastic i pull strands thru so they are sitting on top and then tug at the hair below, pulling it round so its all in a circle round the elastic.

this probably makes no sense :(

The easiet way I fold to do it with my ultra thick hair is to pull my hair back in a pony tail tie it and then mess it around a bit and fasten it with another hair tie. Its prolly just to do with one but my hair is crazy thick so its hard to find hair ties that wont break.

Well, my hair is the opposite. Annoyingly smooth. I CAN make it messy, but it just takes one or two hours, then it's completely smooth again!
ANyone know how to "fix" that???

do it when your hair is wet....

use lots of pins and try putting it in a pony tail first... I havent been able to do it for years because my hair is much to long :(

Right after I wash my hair (so it's wet) I put it into a ponytail and mess it around and wrap it around and then put in another ponytail, or just use a lot of bobby pins.

My hair's too short to do that now, but when I had long hair.. I would suggest putting it in a messy ponytail and then make it into a messy bun. Play around with it, bobby pins are your best friend

i always use little clips, just pull your hair up in a mess on your head and clip it. Or instead of using just chopsicks get a good piece of leather with a hole on each end and put one stick through it horizontally, that always holds really well.
