Hi. I got a nasty throat virus that spread to my ear, and soon after, I got an eardrum perforation. Well I haven't smoked since I got sick, and cause frankly, it was becoming less enjoyable. I had bad wax build up, so everytime I swallowed, my ears popped. Well when I'm high, it's more often, and seemed louder. It was very annoying, but when I was at the ER for the perforation, they cleaned the hell out of my right ear, and the popping(in the right atleast) is no more. Now the perforation is far from healed, but the infections are nearly healed(if not gone), and I'm wondering, will getting high fuck with the hole in my left ear drum? I'd appreciate any insight on this. If this would be better placed in another section, would you kindly move it there? Thanks. =]
Gem all I can give you an insight to ...is I have had a hole in my eardrum all my life...many years ago the way doctors relieved ear aches was to lance the ear drum to release the pressure which was built up in the ear...well my left ear never grew back....I even had an experimental surgery in the mid 60's to patch my ear drum.....I have smoked all my life(weed 44 years, cigs 37 years)..I have never had any discomfort from smoking in my ears....by the way...the childhood surgery I had didn't really work and the patch is no longer there...mainly due to my activities in my adult life i.e. scuba diving and sky diving....the pressures involved in these activities...basicly blew the patch out...just like a inner tube patch....in my own personal use.....I have never had any ear pain from smoking... I hope that gives you some info...granted everybody is different and I can only speak for myself....good luck
