I only just relised last night that Alice And Wonderland is just one big trippy drug film even though its a kids film. Dose anyone like the song White Rabbit from the 70's cant remember who its by but its about drugs and Alice, ha classic!:hat:
I absolutely LOVE Alice and wonderland. There's actually a film being worked on right now for it coming out in 2010. I'm pretty stoked about it.
jefferson airplane wrote white rabbit, ever since i was little i absolutely loveddd that movie, my niece(she's the same age as me) and i would watch it almost everyday, our friends would be freeked out by it but we loved it. hey i still watch it today.
haha i jus watched it last night as i smked some meo dmt lol. effing love that movie! and is there really a film being worked on for 2010!? thatd be epic
For sure there is look it up on IMDB, there isn't much aside from some of the actors they have chose and possible a release date. I've been on edge for a couple years now ever since i heard the idea. =D i hope they do a good job on it.
Yes, a delightful story. Through the Looking Glass is quite a romp, as well. I have to say, however, that Charles Dodgson was at no point during the writing of these books under the influence of any sort of drug. To think this is an insult to his imagination and fortitude as a writer. Charles was a devout and pious Christian, and this would prevent him from even considering inhaling, imbibing or absorbing a mind-altering substance. The new movie is being directed by Marilyn Manson. Its called "Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll," and I guarantee you, it will not be an accurate reflection of poor Charles; bless his soul.
Um the new one I speak of is being directed by Tim Burton, not Marilyn Manson. Also, in their defense, no one here said that the person who wrote Alice in Wonderland was on any type of drug, she simply referred to the story as being 'drug like' because of the imaginative imagery that is given. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1014759/ Chill out buddy
Oh, heavens no! I just wished to dispel the rumour of Lewis Carrol being a drug addict. Even my 8th grade science teacher believed this.
I havent seen the film in agess, wanna watch it again. And would like to read the book. Oooooo wonder what the new movie gonna be like??!
That's one of the very few classics from Disney I didn't like. I found it soooo boring. And didn't like its soundtracks either.
actually when it was originally written it wasnt a kids movie i dont think, there have been a few remakes i dont think it was originally kids movie though, but actually was a drug movie
man i picked up an alice in wonderland dvd just yesterday, i mean i've seen the cartoon ones and the more 'modern' films of it but the one i found was made in the 60s and in black and white and it was just tripping out all over the place and made you feel bloody weird, and it was as if your life was an illusion and everything around you was insane and surreal ..it had some kinda waves signaling lsd to your mind man haha
Wow I did not know it wasen't a children's movie, I thought it was?! This festival I go to every year called Freerotation. They do a chill out room with a projection shown on the wall and they often play Alice In Wonderland but they edit making it more trippy it's really cool.
Lewis Carrol wrote the book, and he was known to smoke hash and take different drugs- so it's not surprising that Alice in Wonderland is considered trippy. Loved the movie though.
Did you know, that some scientists suspect Lutwidge Dodgson to be a paedophile? I've read, that he took a little girl to his apartment, asked her to sit on a chair and watched her sitting wile writing this book. But I don't know if it's true. http://zazna.com/uu4zNWE3OT/Alice%2...and---Wikipedia%2C-the-free-encyclopedia.html
