EDIT: nice name. decent pipe though, i have one very similar. my corn cob is named Smoky. (it says great smoky mountains on the side of it)
Is that a pokemon stash jar in the background? It looks like there's some kind of fluid in there which you should replace with weed.
yeah lol it gad some fluid in there that would react to a blacklight.... yes i should open my own!!!!:cheers2:
I had one like that before. they only thing with wooden pipes after cleaing it so many times it get's a whole in the bottom
NEVER clean/scrape a wood pipe!!!!! They get better the more resin they get into them, if you scrape it your very likely to get wood hits off the sides Also, wood pipes are actually very smooth dont discount them glass lovers
the problem is the TYPE of wood is vastly important. that looks like a half-decent (but probably a cheapy) tobacco pipe. a briar. briar root burns only at VERY high temperatures. very few other woods are used for tobacco pipes. most pipes not made from briar are intended for cannabis, and often taste bad and wear out because of burning the wood. a good tobacco pipe will smoke very well, and the only major issue is keeping the narrow stems and bits cleaned. also they have enormous bowlpacks, and will take a lot of herb to fill up. i have two briars, but use them strictly for tobacco. too bad, because one is very cool looking and would make a great herb pipe, i just dont want to mingle and, hey, it was expensive. i recommend getting a pipe tool at a local tobacco shop the part with the flat end is for tamping it down. great for after its partway burned and dont want to get your fingers messy. the spike is for prodding and poking of course - good for if its packed too tight to get a good draw, dig around in it a bit. the spoon/scoop/knife is great for removing excessive resinous buildup. also you should get some good pipecleaners from the shop - not craft pipecleaners, real ones. dip them in a touch of alcohol before use. these are perfect for keeping the stem clean and free of blockage. let it dry for several hours before using after cleaning the stem. the alcohol is only because you're smoking pot from it, and the resin is very resistant to being cleaned up with just bristles or water or something. if you care for it well, it should last a lifetime.
well, i'm certainly not a god, and there are many people far more knowledgeable than i, but thank you lol i might also recommend, though, an item to protect the bit of the pipe. they make soft rubbery covers to go over the end of the mouthpiece to keep it from getting too worn out too fast from biting on it. especially important when sharing. also, you'll likely find a small clump of herb at the bottom thats hard to smoke due to size and other things when done smoking the bowl. this will be extremely resinated and shouldnt be thrown out, though it doesnt taste nearly as good as the fresher stuff. i'd suggest just getting a cheap metal one hitter or a small, cheap glass bat for this stuff that will be hard to smoke in your pipe. alternatively, you could dig it out and set it aside, pack a new bowl, and put the bottom of the old bowl on the top or in the middle of the new bowl. this will lessen the taste of the new bowl, though. btw, a cheap pipe tool should be 3-5 bucks maybe at most, and a bag of pipe cleaners about 3 bucks at most
how much are and where can i find these"glass pipes" lol. i really cant find 'em anywhere! and i dont wanna get it online
some states have them outlawed, because everyone knows they get used virtually exclusively for illegal substances. i think most states allow them to be sold in stores, though, but for legal reasons the stores get VERY uptight about you saying anything about using them for illegal purposes. calling something a "bong" instead of a "waterpipe" or "that one" will often get you kicked out. where i live, and where i lived before, "head shops" (they usually don't use the term themselves) are legal so long as they maintain a facade of intending their products to be used for legal purposes only. look around on campus in nearby college towns. go to music festivals. look in the yellowpages for "smoke shops" and such, see what you can find. where are you located, if you dont mind me asking? also, online sites can be just fine, but they're often overpriced. i know of one site that is not overpriced, and has some cool looking pipes, but i've never ordered from them. they're apparently very reputable and fair, but they allegedly often take a -long time- to fill an order. chunkyglasspipes.com other websites have more or less reputability, often charge to much but not always. it all depends on what you want. stick within the us for best bet when it comes to shipping and pricing and such. if glass pipes are illegal where you live, then if you go on vacation on occasion, you should be able to get one in another town sometime easily. or if you have a friend living out of state, or live near state lines, just make a short trip of it. idk..... of places i've been and noticed (FL, WA, OH, IN, Ontario) most places i've been seem to have head shops. but i know a few places don't. idk your situation, but they aren't too hard to find. ask other smokers your know, or just look around.
im in texas; el paso to be exact. ive seen peeps with glass pipes here b4, but they're either too high to answer where they got it, or they just dont remember
did a brief google search, and of course they aren't advertised openly as "head shops" so it takes some guessing.... but i'd look into headstand- 4409 dyer st pipes and gifts - 6254 edgemere rd pipes and gifts sounds promising, but idk i found both of those on searches for smoke shops or tobacco shops i also found references to headstand on a site specifically related to headshops, but i found it first among listings of tobacco shops. its a good bet. have fun :sifone:
thank you, lmao i actually got my pipe at pipes an gifts; it might be time to check back.. once again, thanks!
