    Kia Ora,

So... Ive become disillsioned with the organisation and hypocricy of the christian religion lately and feel uncomfortable going to a church for an hour on a sunday like a "good little christian" when it seems that was so not the way Jesus himself did it. So ive been looking into how I actually feel and what it all means. So how does this sound, is there anyone else there with similar views?

God is Love (im going to call it god, there are so many different varients and this just seems easiest to fit in). Love is what causes people to cast aside hatred, prejudice, war, hurt, anger, poverty and greed. When you love someone you embrace totally that person, you see them for the beautiful amazing creation that they are and you love them. If you love someone you can't watch them suffer because what hurts them hurts you too and because you simply love them, their needs are just as important or more so than yours. And so because "God" is love when you love someone else and share that love between yourselves you are actually in the presence of this "god".

From Love comes Peace, Happiness, Freedom, Understanding and Forgiveness because when you love someone you cant hurt them and these things promote no harm, so imagine if we all truely started loving each other how amazing this world would be. I think this is how "god" intended the world to be but in our own human greedy, selfish ways we have corrupted this. I think the church is a great example of how twisted we have come from how it is supposed to be, "god" never intended the church to come this way but we twisted and raped it, so now it and god look totally unrecognisable and actually serve to turn people away from god. I think if we get back to the simple way of living for each other and looking after each other with no greed, selfishness, corruption and lots of love, support, understanding and co-operation one day this world will be truely all it can be.

is there anyone who can share some ideas about that, who totally disagree or agree with me? What do you have to say and share? I hope you made it through ok,

    Peace friends!

I didnt feel any form of emotion when I read your second paragraph, when something makes sense to me I would do so.
I feel your second paragraph shows that you yourself are confused by how to word your feelings and im guessing you werent satisfied by the way you defined God, and the way you defined love, I understand how hard it can be sometimes to word "feelings". Both god and love are strong feelings , and in my experience the best way to define strong feelings is with as much simplicity as possible.
    To me love is acceptance.
If you love yourself, you accept yourself (a very rare human trait)
If you love someone you accept them.

Acceptance allows people to cast aside such emotions as youve described, such as
hatred, prejudice, war, hurt, anger, poverty and greed.

Im not disagreeing with your basic message, since
I feel that when people "find god" they find gods acceptance (his love).
So yes I beleive that god is love since both are acceptance.

Acceptance is a very powerful emotion.
As a result of feeling acceptance you feel other emotions too, such as bliss and being content.
Being content is a very rare emotion to feel and is unique in that you dont want anything else when your feeling it.

I also believe that love can eradicate all destructive behaviour, in my experience all unhealthy behaviour stems from fear.
And I beleive on a very basic level that all behaviuor is motivated by either love or fear
