I live in my parents' house. I am about to go to sleep for the night, and finish hanging posters in my room tomorrow. Among the many are three posters of Bob Marley. I sit here, listening to his music, looking at his face, thinking "Why is it that, though science has proven it is not the demon people around the world think it to be, why is it illegal? Why have my parents forbidden me to partake of the Herb? It is only an innocent plant, placed here by God. Why, then, do they hate it so? Why do they look down upon me for partaking of it, and finding my spirituality? It brought me deeper into my faith. Why, then, do they hate it so?" If they even find out that I have smoked it, I will be kicked out onto the street. It is time for me to fight for my rights, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I must fight for this in my own home, on my own ground.. Brothers and sisters, find me all the studies and literature that you can to prove my point to them that it is not harmful if used responsibly, not dangerous, does not (as my father still blindly believes) "fuck up your brain", and that it is safer than any other drug on this planet. I smoke tobacco. I drink. They smoke tobacco. They used to drink once upon a time. So, in doing something less harmful than all of this, why am I persecuted so? Why is a simple plant that has helped me through so much, and from which I have learned so much, so hated by my parents? I know they are intelligent. They just need their eyes opened, that they may see. Help me, as you can. -Pennyroyal_Tea, a persecuted, and at this point, depressed, fellow stoner.
I agree with Drew... when you live under someone else's roof you live under their rules........... it may seem unfair now, but your parents really just do have your best interest at heart.... try and keep them happy, it wont be long before you're out on your own
Wrong-o. I'm nineteen, unemployed (god damn economy... I used to live in another town, in an apartment...) and broke. I won't be out of here for some time. My point is, I want to attempt to break the blindness and persuade them that they are the ones who are incorrect, and not me. It's not about rules. It's about the fact that they're blinded and won't listen to what I tell them. I've read the studies once upon a time. I just need something to back up my claims.
go on youtube and look for "Marijuana Documentary part 1" this is a documentary proving that weed isnt bad, it interviews professors from harvard, ex policemen, etc. its a very good documentary check it out
you have every right to smoke weed in your house......your house. your parent shave every right to not smoke weed in thier house. until you pay the rent you have no rights
yes, you have to respect their wishes... so it's down the street at the park or something... not in their place...unless you want to risk being booted out But it sounds like... even if you get stoned.. you're out Did the turn religious.. you said they used to drink... is that why they stopped?
